Nishikori loses to Cilic in straight sets in Swiss Indoors final

summary

Kei Nishikori’s hopes of a claiming his second title of the season were wrecked with a straight-sets defeat to Croatia’s Marin Cilic in the final of the Swiss Indoors on Sunday. Cilic who beat Nishikori in the 2014 U.S. Open final. Now, Nishikori is back to an equal career high of world No.4, and Cilic is now back in the world top 10. After the match finished, Nishikori said “My opponent made a good  start and that put me under pressure. After I allowed him to break he played offensive tennis and was relaxed.”

opinion

I respect Kei Nishikori because he gave Japanese children hope. Japanese tennis player couldn’t get the outcome worldwide before. For the reason, Japanese people is not taller than foreign people. Nishikori has same problem, and his lower back is a ticking time bomb. But, he bravely has a match with foreign tennis player. Then, he is now world No.4, and finished second in the 2014 U.S. Open final for the first time as Japanese. In the same way, a Japanese Major League player is doing well now. For example, Ichiro gained a worldwide reputation. He was firstly hesitant because it had previously been worn by pitching star Randy Johnson. But,  his trepidation was unfounded, as he had a remarkable 2001 season, accumulating a rookie-record 242 hits. Thereafter, Japanese baseball player began to win high praise for skills in the U.S. Now, Nishikori is same position with Ichiro in that Japanese sports player can play an active part worldwide. Like this, I want a lot of Japanese children to persue their dream.

Presidental Debate “Achieving Prosperity”

summary

This arricle is  written about debate of Hillary Clinton and Mr.Trump. Clinton said that “I want us to invest in you. I want us to invest in your future.” This means that she pays attention to small bisiness of the United States, and starts raising the national minimum wage and also guarantee. Meanwhile Trump said that “Companies will come. They will build. They will expand. New companies will start.” This means that he thinks to stop companies of United States from leaving his country and, with it, firing all of their people. In short, Hillary Clinton is calling for a tax increase on the wealthiest Americans.  Mr.Trump is calling for tax cuts for the wealthy.

opinion

I stand by Hillary Clinton. I think that her election pledge is similar to Japan politics in that she thinks to spend the budget on infrastructure, renewable energy, the welfare system, and so on. People are unwilling to change the condition drastically because we are afraid of getting worse the present state of our life. But, Mr. Trump tries to change the United States drastically. For example, he said that “We have to stop our jobs from being stolen from us.” He tries to stop companies of the United States going out the other countries through reducing taxes tremendously, then the economy cycles in the United States. If so, the future of the world’s economy will be overshadowed. Of course, Japan will be also influenced by the turn of that. That is why I stood by Hillary Clinton. If there are any problems, the thing that she is a lady. Lady isn’t yet inaugurated Madamme president. But now she is uncovered a scandal. After that I don’t know what will happen.

Amid day care shortage, parents inspired by anonymous blog vote for change

summary

Many families in Japan were seeking to change the situation with their vote in Sunday’s House of Councilors election. As of last October, there were 45,315 applicants who had been denied places in public nursery schools around the country because of a lack of space. Particularly mothers facing the risk of losing their jobs or a chance to start work, it was no wonder an anonymous blog post unleashing the pent-up frustration of one mother who failed to get her child into nursery school went viral. “Failed to get a slot in a nursery school yesterday…Damn you, Japan.” Although there are party saying to arrenge infrastructures for child care and nursing care, experts said the problem is long-standing and will not be resolved in a day, urging parents to continue pushing for structual reforms beyond the election in Japan’s elderly-focused society.

opinion

I think that this problem is very serious and we must take the situation seriously. My mother works as the director of a nursery school. I heard her about the present circumstance. She said that the situation is little by little better than ever before, and the number of child on the waiting list for daycare has been decreasing. She opened up and start operating a nursery to help children. That is to say, she runs two nurseries now. I respect her for my mother and the director. But, most of young people are not interested in this problem, and not go to vote. If we take an interest in this situation, we have no choice but to go to vote. In fact, Japan’s present infrastructures for child care and nursing care aren’t very well, and I think that this situation continues. A shortage will exist due to overwhelming demand. We should go to vote to change the present situation if we want to change the future situation.

What I believe

I believe in the existance of God. Of course, I don’t tell a joke. The reason why I choose this theme is that I like to think a philosophy of life. Altough I’m not a Christian and Muslim, and not believe in a religion, there is a time we can’t help thinking the existance of God. For example, I was a elementary school student, I took an entrance exam. I was said that I failed to pass because my grade was rather bad. However, I passed the entrance exam for junior high school. As a result, I  experienced to win the baseball tournament. If I had passed other schools or failed to pass, I could not  have won the tournament and met the best friends.  Come to think of it, I was guided by the teachings of God. I continued to have a experience like this. Other examples, when I was a high school student, I tried to get into the University of Sophia. But, consequently, I entered Keio University. Although I was sure to make an effort to pass the university, I feel that I displayed an ability much more than usual. Thank to that, I am here now. I’m blessed with a lot of friends, and lead a full life. I belong to baseball club of fuculty of science and engineering. This is the best encounter in my life. The club is that there is a time that some are practicing seriously, others are fooling around. I have never experienced that switch like such. A several days ago, I went to Korea to take part in the world championship as a delegate of Japan. And, I won the world championship. If I had not passed Keio University and belong to baseball club, I could not have experienced and savor the joy of winning. Not all people can get such experiences. I think that this is also guided by the teachings of God. I guess that things are going according to God’s plan, and we only live as that plan. That is to say, I think that it has decided yet whether we tried hard or not, so people have different ways of living. Not all are good but can’t help believing in the existance of God. I didn’t say like such to anyone because I feel that I’m made a fool of. This is that I believe in secretly.

What will happen to the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) if there’s a Brexit?

European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) affords travellers state provided necessary medical treatment in the host country. They cover temporary stays in European Economic Area (EEA) countries, plus Switzerland, and over 27 million people have one. Patients can be treated either at a reduced cost or for free by the state healthcare system. However, the future of this reciprocal benefit would be thrown into doubt by Brexit vote.
The UK remain severed ties with the EEA, as the card is not a European Union initiative, so feasible that in case the EHIC would likely cease to exist.

opinion

Today(6/24) the UK reached a decision to leave the EU, and this news created social disorder. Not only the dollar had fallen sharply, but also unemployment will be a serious problem. Brexit has had no little influence on the Japan’s economy. For example, the Japan’s export industry must be had influence. But, I think that it is important for the UK to recover the initiative as a nation, so I can understand the UK’s action. However, I objected to Brexit because this problem wasn’t ties with country to country, but severed ties with each other. Thank to severed ties, the UK will be accepted the EHIC as part of the single market. To be frank with you, I didn’t want the UK to leave the EU because Brexit may have influence for myself. We must search for a way to solve a problem.

Brazil uses dammed lake surface for floating solar panels

Summary

This article suggests that if successful, Brazil’s officials hope to expand the floating panel system via public tenders. Now Brazil has been enduring a severe drought. And water levels at many Brazilian dams have dropped to dangerously low levels. Therefore the pilot project, to be completed by 2017, is a large platform with 50,000 square meters of solar panels, about the size of five footboll fields.

Opinion

My opinion is that we have only a superficial knowledge of electric problems. Japan generates electricity from nuclear. But people say that nuclear power plant is very dengerous, and should get rid of it. That is because the Great East Japan Earthquake’ image is strong. But other power generation have also problems. For example, solar power generation is a big problem that a lot of solar panels are wasted and the forest is polluted by illegal dumping. A wind turbine is used by wind power generation as well. To put it another way, we can’t understand present Japan’s circumstances. We tend to be caught up by media and so on, to tell the truth, I didn’t know as well. I think that we should get enough information about electric problems. And we will consider it carefully and ought to figure out an answer.
