Summary
Karate is going to be added in the Olympic games for the 2020 Tokyo, with skateboarding, climbing and baseball-softball. Karate was born in Okinawa in the 15th century. It is influenced by Chinese martial arts. Judo and taekwondo are already included in Olympic games , but karate hasn’t. So it struggled to make the case for inclusion. The reason why karate has been delayed into Olympic games is divisions in the movement around the world, with stalwarts long preferring to adhere to their interpretation rather than to work together to create an global art form.
Opinion
I agree with including karate into Olympic because judo and taekwondo are already added. Japanese and Korean martial art is official sport of Olympic why not karate? Karate has own world championship like judo and taekwondo. I think it is not problem for Okinawa martial art in Olympic.

The reason why Japan slips to eighth

Our topic of discussion is rankings in WEF competitiveness. WEF is World Economic Forum. It is the annual forum of economists. They rank countries by competitiveness, which is national productivity level and the survey on items such as infrastructure, education, labor market and financial services business. In the year, 2014-2015, Japan was ranked 6th, but in the year,2015-2016, our country is ranked 8th. Both years, Switzerland is 1st and Singapore is 2nd. In addition, Netherlands and Sweeden are ranked up in these two years.
Opinion
In my opinion, the reason why Japan slips to 8th is education.
First, reason is the environment of education. Nowadays, people can’t enter their children in kindergarten. Children can’t accept enough elementary education and parents aren’t compatible jobs and nursing. In addition, in high schools and universities, people have to pay expensive fee. In other countries, this fee is almost all free. People can study without caring the money.
Second reason is the system of education especially English. Japanese English education is very passive. Teachers teach students grammar typically but don’t teach communication and discussion skills. That’s why Japanese people are weak in the world.
I think Japanese government should change the environment and system of education.

The theme of the discussion of my group is one of topic about natural disaster in the state of West Virginia. Heavy rain turned rivers and streams into torrents,cutting off several towns. West Virginia received a quarter of its annual rainfall in a single day, the US National Weather Services said.The Foods are the worst in a century in some areas hundreds of people have had to be rescued. President Obama ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area. States of emergency have been declared in 44 of the state’s 55 counties,and up to 500 soldiers have been authorized.

My opinion about this topic is preparing for disasters is necessary for people who live in everywhere. West Virginia is one of the countryside areas ,so there is little high buildings and its climate is ordinary. The state don’t have enough shelters and almost all people haven’t experienced the big disaster such as heavy rain. The lack of experience and preparing of disasters caused this serious damages. I think the best solution is teaching the skills of preparing for disaster and recovering damages. People and countries that have experienced disasters should not only donate to stricken areas but also teaching how prepare and recover.
An agreement of India and Japan
Summary
The theme of the discussion of my group is one of topic about political agreement in India. The agreement is that India has agreed to buy a high-speed bullet train and nuclear plant technologies from Japan. The agreements with Japan came during a three-day visit to India by the Prime Minister,Shinzo Abe. The train would link Mumbai and Ahmedabad, cutting travel time on the route from eight hours to two. In conclusion,the leaders of Asia’s second and third largest economies also announced other areas of co-operation.

My opinion about this article is this agreement is including expectation not only economy but also politics. Actually,China also wanted to buy the technology of high-speed bullet trains,but India chose technologies of Japan,because India has territorial disputes with China. It is similar to Japan. I think India wants to check China. Another my opinion is about exporting nuclear plant technologies. I disagree with this agreement because the geographical features of India is similar to Japan. India has experienced big earthquakes, so the safety isn’t guaranteed. Japan had a serious accident in Fukushima. The safety of Japanese technology isn’t absolute. I think India should rethink this agreement.
Kenya lions escape
Summary
The theme of the discussion of my group is one of problems about nature in Kenya. The lions which were in the national park escaped overnight and stayed into the city. Three lions have been recuperated,but it is not clear whether more lions remain on the loose. The park is next to cities including slums. The people in the slums are angry that Kenya Wildlife Service is taking so long time to recuperate the lions.

My opinion about this article is this problem is related to Japan from a different point of view. In Japan, there is few troubles like in Kenya. The national parks in Japan are far from the principal cities, so people have little worry about attacking by animals. If this happens in Japan, people are more confused because we watch few flesh-eating animals. However, in these days, cities have been too far from nature in Japan. Japanese government has been put many development projects since 1960s because Japan must develop the industries and make the economy grow up. It must break nature to build factories, power plants and dams. Now,it is difficult for people to touch nature.
