Andy Murray beats Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Vienna to win the Erste Bank Open

summary

Andy Murray beats Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Erste Bank Open held in  Vienna last week and he moved one step closer to becoming world number one player. He will replace Novak Djokovic, the present number one player, by winning next week’s Paris Masters, provided Djokovic does not reach the final. He will also reach top spot if he reaches the Paris final and Djokovic falls before the semi-finals. In spite of being three times a Grand Slam winner and twice Olympic champion, Murray has never been top of the world rankings. Every win makes him closer to the top, but it’s still seem a long way.

opinion

Murray said in the interview, “From two to one seems a small jump in a way but it’s the hardest one to make.” As he says, being top of the world rankings is very difficult in any competition. Usually tennis is a individual sport. To win in a game, a high revel skill is required. They need not only physical or power but also strategy, mental is as much as necessary. To be a top tennis player in the world, they must be exceled in all areas. In this point, I think Djokovic is the strongest tennis player I’ve ever seen. But he is staying too long in the top. I hope a day that Murray will beat Djokovic and become a number one player.

China slowdown is global economy’s biggest threat

summary

The previous chief economist of the International Monetary, Fund Ken Rogoff has told a slowdown in China is the greatest threat to the global economy. China is going through a big political revolution. This shows the slow down of the economy will be much more than the officials expects. So if we want to know to look at the  part of the world that has a debt problem look at China. This caused because of the credit fuelled growth that won’t last forever. Last week, the Bank of the International Settlements, said that China’s credit to GDP “gap” stood at 30.1%. This shows that China’s economic boom was based on an unstable credit bubble. The global economy is pretty sharp landing already and China is becoming more of the problem.

opinion

No matter how we tackle to the negative interest rate, we cannot create an inflation. It is not a phenomenon only for Japan. From now on, it is believed that the global economy will be more and more threatened. China is a state which owns everything they can control, except for the worry of hard landing. So if the hard landing of China become realized, the damage to the economy will be unfathomable. Every state in the world is working for the economic down but there isn’t really a substitute for China. China should make every effort to stop the hard landing as fast as they could.

Japan PM Shinzo Abe claims victory in parliament election

summary

The 24th regular election of members of the House of Councillors was held on Sunday 10 July 2016 to elect 121 of the 242 members of the House of Councillors, the upper house of the 717-member bicameral National Diet of Japan, for a term of six years. As a result of the election, the alliance configured by Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito party which is lead by the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has claimed victory, saying voters backed his economic policies. He fought his campaign on his economic record, but the sub-text of the election was the power to amend the constitution which is the change of Article 9. If the the upper house secures two-third majority to match that in the lower house, it is possible to hold a vote on constitutional change.

opinion

The voting age for national elections has been lowered to 18 from the current 20, from this upper house election. Thanks to this change, I went to the election for the first time. To be honest, the result of the election was expected, but at the same time, it was very surprising for me. If the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party win the upper house election and secures two-third majority to match that in lower house, it is possible to hold a vote on constitutional change of Article 9. This is an article so-called pacifism cause which forbibs Japan from fighting wars abroad. If  the amend of Article 9 became true, there might be a day that we have to join the war. The constitutional of Japan is hold by the pacifism, one of the tree major principles. As being one of a jurist, I think the constitutional should not be amended.

Final report

I believe that we must reconsider the use of drones in military acts.
In July1, President Obama’s administration announced that between 64 and 116 civilians have died during the years 2009-2015 from U.S. drone strikes. The specific nation is not released, but the number also includes the civilians that were not in a combat zone. According to the organization of journalists reports, they estimated that 200-1000 people have died by drone strikes. Furthermore, according to the Reuters, in the document of the United States government that has been published, civilians deaths from drone attack was 35 time more than the death from an airstrike in a manned aircraft.

I could not believe my eyes when I first saw this article. When we compare the number of the death between civilians and militants, we feel civilians deaths are much less than the militants. But the fact of this number of innocent people have been killed by an unmanned aircraft, and the fact that more civilians death are remained to be announced, I think this situation cannot be ignored. Counts of civilians drone death have always caused controversy, given the difficulty in investigation the aftermath of strikes and unreliable reporting from on-the-ground sources. It is also difficult to distinguish accurately whether the body is a civilian or a militant. But this won’t be a reason that we can overlook this problem.

But why does the U.S. government insist on the use of drones? There are some advantages. First, since there is no need to ride on an aircraft, it is possible to attack for militants without danger. Second, even if the drone had been destroyed, we can provide a replacement with mass production which we cannot provide with human . And finally, we can reduce the labor cost of militants who had to go to the battlefield. Therefore, military attacks by drone is a breakthrough method which is safe and efficient. Truly, this is a low risk high return way for U.S. militaries.

But how do you think when you view this problem from a moral point? As long as they are operating drones in a safe place, I think that probably militants who operates drones are more or less short of awareness that they are doing military attacks than the militants who goes directly toward the battlefield. And moreover, I think that they are also lack of awareness of guilt when they have killed people. Surely, this is a killing so-called the extra-judicial killing. Obama’s presidency was meant to institutionalize a rigorous reporting process for the next commander in chief. He also requires the administration to disclose yearly the civilians death from strikes. He will not deny the policy of the use of drones to the bitter end.

The use of drones is a breakthrough method for militaries. In fact, It might be a military tactic which is necessary to fight with terror. But the future, when the use of drones will be the mainstream in war, it cannot possibly be in a bright direction. I think the use of drones should be exterminated immediately.

German minister warns NATO against ‘warmongering’

summary

NATO conducted a military exercise in Eastern Europe and carried out a 10-day exercise simulating a Russian attack in Poland. This exercise in poland, which takes place in every two years, was intened to test NATO’s ability to respond to treats, and to ally fears in Eastern Europe since Russia’s annexation in Crimea. NATO Secretary General said Russia  was seeking to create “a zone of influence through military means”, with “massive militarization” at NATO borders. But German foreign minister has warned that extensive NATO maneuvers launched this month were counterproductive to regional security and could inflame tensions with Russia, so he urged the NATO military alliance to replace the exercises with more dialogue and co-poration with Russia.

opinion

Russia side believes that NATO expansion is a violation of commitments. The expansion will extends to former communistic bloc, the former Soviet Union and the Eastern Europe countries call the Baltic states. Russia is angry because the Anti- Russian military facility is installed in this former communist countries and Russian encirclement have been increasingly strengthened. Russia is also angry that the United States has built the MD base which was banned in public commitments. Russia said that this is not a defense system, it is rather a part of the US nuclear forces. I can understand Russia’s feeling but once this anger led to a war, it will be in a situation irreparable. This case will have to be resolved in a discussion not in a fight as the history has been so.

Those people who was related to corruption have been arrested or are under investigation on suspicion overcharging contracts. As part of those inquiry is known as Operation car wash.
From the amount repatriated money in 2015, $95m was linked to the car was investigation.

Opinion

This article is not a problem only happening in Brazil. It is also a problem exists just now in Japan. Problems related with money is very complicated. Are there measures to solve these problems? I think executives such as officials and politicians must be more aware of their positions. They are elected by the citizens in the nation with strong trusts. So some acts such as corruptions, will destroy their trusts. Not to do such things, for example, executives should render their account of payments and incomings in detail air in public. They should demonstrate that they are clean handed in money. If every executives  do this, these problems will happen lesser than now.
