I believe in that playing game doesn’t give our brain bad effect so much.

My favorite hobby is playing games.
I think It’s mainly because of my older brothers.
They really liked to play video games and now I like it too.
But in 2002 a book against games was published.
the name of that book is “the horror of game brain”.
This book was written on the harm of playing games by Akio Mori.
After this book was published many mass media reported bad article about playing games.
This movement made a belief among people,especially parents,that playing game can give our brain bad effects.people thought so on the ground that when you play games your brain’s condition becomes like dementia and playing games can get player more likely to be angry.
Actually, my mother also scolded me when I played games while saying “you will become full because of playing games”

But there are five reasons why his theory is not trustworthy.

First,the author of “the horror of game brain”,Akio Mori is the professor of education and physiology.So he is not professional of brain science or Neurology and he doesn’t have enough knowledge about brain waves.
He critically lacks fundamental knowledge about brain

Second,in that book he says that the brain’s condition while playing video games is similar with one while sleeping.
In other words,it means that sleeping also can give our brain bad influences.
However,as we know sleeping is even really good and necessary for us.

Third,he suggests to exercise for preventing from being game brain.
However,according to data which is cited by himself,a brain wave while playing sports is almost same with one while playing video games.
He nevertheless didn’t mention the sameness.

Fourth,he regards beta wave and alpha wave as a basic standard to find abnormity of brain.
His idea is that overlapping between beta wave and alpha wave was caused by  an abnormity of brain
But this idea is denied in terms of clinicians.
And he ignores spike wave and sharp wave which are thought necessary for finding abnormity of brain.

Fifth,as for the the way he measure brain waves,in this method a lot of artifact can be measured.Artifact is phenomenon which happens in measuring brain wave or electro cardiogram and so on.Artifact is not useful at all or even really cumbersome.And numerical values of Artifact and beta wave are similar.So sometimes doctors make a wrong diagnosis because of it.

In some experiments,it turned out that playing games is beneficent.
many people think if you play video game,your eyesight would get worse
but actually in a experiment people who play video games for a long time can see smaller letter than others.people who play video games also good at attention.In a experiment that subjects followed some dots with their eyes people who play games did better.

As a result I think playing games is not harmful but beneficent.

However,of cause,playing games too much is not so good.

 

This topic is related with ethical problem.

A baby was born to a woman who had been brain-dead for almost four months.His mother  was declared brain-dead after a brain haemorrhage.The decision to continue the pregnancy was taken after tests revealed the foetus to be helthy and after the father agreed it should be allowed to continue.Doctors said the baby was in good health when he was born.They didn’t specify whether the boy’s mother remained on life support.

In person,I agreed with the father’s decision because the baby was born to the mother brain-dead by chance.It is so cruel to kill the baby only with the reason like that.Of cause,some people say if the mother had not given the birth to the baby,she could have lived longer.It is true but I think the mother herself wouldn’t hope to live longer at the expense of the baby’s life.

There are a big problem with the father and baby who their mother left before.It is really hard to earn life expenses and to rear a child at the same time.And there are many families with only father or mother like the family above so I think the most important thing is to make a society where the fatherless or motherless families can live with less burden.

In April 17th of 2016 a really big earthquake happened in Ecuador .The official figure of the number killed was 233.I think there were two main problems in this case.

First,the government of Ecuador didn’t issue a tsunami alarm even though the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said tsunami was able to happen.If the government had spread the alarm the number killed could have decreased.But it’s problem related with political system so it’s not easy to change.

Second,in Ecuador many houses are not earthquake-proof.Though more and more houses have become earthquake-proof residence,mast of them are still not.

But the government of Ecuador has made effort to solve this problem.For example,the president of Ecuador already promised to adopt a policy.In that policy the president promised millionaire tax to raise the billions of dollars needed to rebuild a country which didn’t recover from disaster yet.And the president,Rafael Correa visited Disaster area and hugged children.

On the other hand,Japanese prime minister,Shinzo Abe canceled the visit to Disaster area,did’t recognize the earthquake in Kumamoto as major disaster and even misled earthquake victims to stay at home.Because of that misleading many people were crushed to death.

Of cause the government has many tasks but now Japanese government deprecate this earthquake disaster too much.I really hope that the government more consider this  problem and disaster area will restore as soon as possible.
