Hilary Clinton’s Golden State ATM

Summary

Hilary Clinton who tries to be first female president is more desperate for political fund raising than other candidates. Her main financial resources is California State. She holds political fund parties with stars many times and easily raises money by ticket price. California fundraisers raised just over $100 million, according to CNN. So California is Golden State ATM for her. She has ever invite many star, for example Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Ricky Martin and Katy Perry. Hilary has strong connection with stars.

My opinion

I didn’t know anything about American politician’s political resources. I was surprised that donations to politician by individual citizens are legal in USA. Most Japanese think this political parties are not good in Japan and it may be illegal. I think this system is bad because in this system, connections of a politician individual have a big influence in a presidential election. The candidate who don’t have power can’t compete with such powerful candidate.
I have serious doubts about the use of its large sum of money. I think American presidential election is too long. To be honest, I have already got tired about this big event.

Thai king death : Crown prince coronation ‘delay for a year’

Summary

Thailand’s king Bhumibol Adulyadej was died on 13th September. The successor will be the crown prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, but he seeks to postpone his coronation for at least 1 year to mourn his father with nations. In Thailand, a lot of nations wear black, and mourners gather and sing a book of condolences to pay their respects to Bhumibol. The crown prince said that people didn’t have to be confused and worry about the country’s administrations and the succession. But in fact, the time when Bhumibol’s cremation will be done and Vajiralongkorn will coronate is not clear.

Opinion

In Thailand, the new construction was admitted last August, and it needs the signature of the kind to have an effect. This construction is necessary to hold a general election next year. If the general election won’t be hold, nation’s discontent will increase and there will be a political instability. It is true that death of a relative is a heartbroken thing and it takes a lot of time to overthrew sadness. However I believe the king takes a responsibility for one country, so the coronation should be done as soon as possible.

Abe likely to skip visiting Yasukuni Shrine during autumn festival

Summary

This article says that Japanese Prime Minister Sinzo Abe is seemed to skip visiting Yasukuni Shrine. This is because he wants to keep Japan’s relations with South Korea and China ahead of a summit of three courtiers later this year. Yasukuni is the Shrine, which honors convicted war criminals along with millions of war dead. The two countries, South Korea and China, see the Shrine as a symbol of Japan’s past militarism.

Opinion

I think the problem whether Japanese prime minister should visit Yasukuni Shrine or not is really difficult problem. Of course, it is important for we Japanese to visit there not to forget the truth of being the war. But I think it is not good that executive of japan visit there officially. This is because I think it is really difficult thing to keep good relation with other countries. If Japanese Prime Minister visits there and damages the relation with South Korea and China, it is not easy to repair it. In conclusion, I think the decision of Abe is correct.

Abe likely to skip visiting Yasukuni Shrine during autumn festival

Summary

This artical is a political news about Japan’s diplomatic issues. The most important thing in this artical is that the government wants Abe not to visit Yasukuni Shrine for the autumn festival. The reason is because the government is planing to open a summit between China and Korea so they are afraid of damaging the realationship by visiting Yasukuni Shrine. However the conservative group will get mad if Abe does not visit Yasukuni Shrine, so Abe is expected to send a “masakaki” to the shrine.

Opinion

My opinion is that Abe should not visit Yasukuni Shrine. Visiting Yasukuni Shrine might be an important symbol for peace. However, if we think about the future of Japan, the relationship between China and Korea is very important because these countries are getting power in the world and Japan does not have big land or resources. Before  than, I think that this problem is a little stupid. Nobody in the world likes wars. Abe also does not want to fight with any country. I think people in other countries think so to. This means that this problem’s target is only against a little amount of people. So I think  that this problem being big is nonsense.

Iraqi and Kurdish troops make gains in battle

Summary

Iraqi government troops and Kurdish fighters launched their push towards Mosul in the early hours of Monday. Mosul is second-largest city of Iraq.
Kurdish tank units advanced from the east and they are within 300m of IS positions. The Kurds seized several villages in the first few hours of the operation.
Iraqi government troops and Kurdish fighters are operating from Qayyarah airbase, which was recaptured in August. The main assault is being led by Iraqi army troops. Elite Iraqi counterterrorism forces are expected to join in the coming days.
IS militants overran there because its capture became a symbol of the group’s rise as a major force and its ability to control territory.
Even if IS is driven out of Mosul, the group will still control areas of northern and eastern Iraq.

Opinion

In Japan, the sectarian disputes seldom happen. Japanese believe in the many kinds of religions:Buddhism, Christianity Shintoism. Almost Japanese don’t persist in specific religion. However, they often go to a shrine to pray for happy, health and success. It becomes their tradition. The religion exists as one of the customs of their life in Japan.
Such as Japanese’s thinking against religion shows that Japanese have a great acceptability. In Edo Period, when Japan was needed to open a country, Japanese cultures and skills could not develop exponentially without their acceptability. At that time, quite a lot of information was flew in Japan. They had a very hard time to assimilate the cultures of foreign countries. However, they had the acceptability, they could flexibly respond to changes or expansion.
Persisting in something is good but attitude of permissiveness like this is also important.

Voice shaking, Michelle Obama Calls Trump Comments on Women ‘Intolerable’

Summary

The current First Lady, Michelle Obama, issued a personal attack against presidential candidate Trump for his rude and vulgar stance in his campaign. She stated in her 25-minute address that the actions and bragging by Trump is intolerable, that no woman deserves to be treated this way. Up until recently, Mrs. Obama has avoided political attention, but this time, she is fighting as the center a new campaign. Trump was heard bragging about sexually harassing women in a recording last week, and that seems to have been the final straw.

Opinion

The matters of what’s best for he United States isn’t for me to decide, since I don’t have much knowledge about the people and cultures. However, the president of the United States is possibly the most powerful person in the world. For that person to be someone who flaunts assaulting women during his presidential campaign would be madness. I personally don’t know any adults who brag about their discriminatory stance on women, especially not in public. Even if Trump’s political campaigns are flawless, which they aren’t, a person with this kind of attitude is unfit for any political position.

Summary

California, also called the Golden state as a popular name, is where Hillary Clinton has no less than 71 fund-raisers.  A CNN analysis based on ticket prices and attendance figures shows that she raises over $100 million in 2015 and 2016 as a candidate.  You can understand from this, California is the most profitable state.   Although she holds more fund-raisers in New York, events held in New York earn just over $81 million based on the same calculation.  It is because she has spent more time than recent candidates to headline events.  In September, her campaign raised a record $154 million, exceeding the record set by Barack Obama’s campaign in August 2008.

 

Opinion

The political fund is indispensable to fight through an election campaign, all the more when it comes to the presidential election.  However, excessive financing and misunderstanding a purpose will result in problems linking politics and money.   There is no end to news about the unjust acquisition and unjust use of political fund use also in Japan.  What is can be raised as an example of measures to stop abusing of the political fund?  One is to oblige a politician to make a funding source and a way of use clear.

The King death

After the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn declared that he wanted to put off his coronation for at least a year in order to mourn his father. This was addressed by the current prime minister of Thai, Prayuth Chan-Ocha. The crown prince’s message was for the people to not be worried about the country’s administration or the succession, and to wait until the sad time is over. The monarchy has a very important place in Thailand, and the military, which has traditionally been fiercely loyal to the monarchy, has made it clear that the crown prince is going to be the next king. However, no announcement of when this will take place hasn’t been announced. The country of Thailand will go into a year of official mourning, with the cremation scheduled at least a year away.

I think the crown prince is acting a little too selfishly, especially while having the responsibilities of a monarch. The death of a family member is always hard, and I’m sure the deceased King Bhumibol Adulyadej was a most revered character, not just to the prince but to the whole country. But a whole year for mourning and no clear indication of how the government will be run in the future? That’s way too overboard. Even if one of my own parents died, I would be able to, or I would have to, decide what to do after a few weeks. The country of Thailand cannot be named as a politically balanced country, and I feel that “Don’t be confused, don’t be worried” from a crown prince with questions about competence isn’t enough of a reassurance for the citizens to live in peace.

Scottish referendum

The second referendum may be done in Scotland. Nicola Sturgeon is one of the people who think Scotland has to declare independence from UK. According to her statement, independence referendum bill would be published next week. She thinks that UK is unstable now because of withdrawal from EU, so Scotland should declare independence from UK and protect its own profit. However Scottish Secretary David Mindel disagrees second referendum. He thinks second independence referendum is creating uncertainty and damaging the Scottish economy at a time when our growth is lagging behind the UK as a whole.

I think Scotland shouldn’t declare independence from UK. There are two reasons. First, Scottish oil industry relays on UK. Actually, almost all of the oil that Scotland consumes annually is supplied by UK. Therefore Scottish oil industry will decline if Scotland declare independence from UK. Second, not declaring independence from UK has been already decided once by referendum. The mind of the general public is likely to be overturned easily. If independence referendum will be done again, many people choose to be independent from UK, which spoils the meaning of the result of the first referendum. This is a serious problem. Because of these two reasons, I think Scotland shouldn’t declare independence from UK.

Voice Shaking, Michelle Obama calls Trump Comments on Women ‘Intolerable’

According to the article, we will know the first lady have claimed that the statement of Mr. trump is clearly assaulting women. Michelle Obama said the statement of Trump is not normal and is not politics as usual. The end of the first lady’s speech says women should stand up and say enough, most importantly is Trump doesn’t deserve women’s vote.

Personal opinion

As far as I am concerned, I am convinced that Mr. Trump’s statement is totally inappropriate. But should not be accused by the first lady. Because we all know the first lady is supporting the democratic, thus, the first lady might be attacking the republican. And use the statement to destroy the election of the republican. Furthermore, the title of women’s right is boosting the supporter of Mrs. Hillary, and giving a good imagination to the first lady, I think Michelle Obama is maybe using this opportunity to join the politics of the US.
