Gun Rights and Gun Control in the US

Summary

The Second Amendment to the Constituion is always an extremely important issue in the United States. It guarantees the right for the people to bear arms such as guns. The gun issue has come to the Supreme Court in 2008 and 2010. In 2008, the court made a decision that the Constitution approves gun rights and it applied to federal laws. And then in 2010, the court ruled that gun rights applies to local and state laws as well. Both gun rights and gun control groups have petitioned for Congress to make the laws for many years and they still continue lobbying.

Opinion

Several months ago, there was an accident that a little child shot his mother by mistake. In the United States, it tends to happen such a tragedy as this because people have the rights to own guns for personal use. Therefore ordinary people should not have guns for the public peace. I strongly feel that Japan is one of the safest countries in the world since we are under the gun control.

But actually, it takes for granted that anyone has guns in the US, so I think it is difficult to eliminate guns at once, though I hope them to try not to use guns.
