Being member of EU has many advantages.

As you know, the United Kingdom decided to leave EU the other day. This made us surprised and made us consider what EU is like and should the UK have left it. I conclude the UK shouldn’t have left it. This is because, from my search, EU has many advantages for the member nations. For example, the advantages are in the field of tax, movement, currency, job, and so on. Now I would like to introduce 3 advantages I think important.

First advantage is being able to trade in low cost. EU is an alliance of a tariff and it abolishes a tariff in trade between the member nations. This system enable them the free trade. Moreover, this could control not to import the products from not member nations. This promotes the member nations to trade only with other member nations because of lower cost and the member nations become more closely united.

Second advantage is being able to move freely between the member nations. This system is once you enter a member country, you can free to move the borders within the area. Laborers also free to move. This means they can work everywhere in sphere of EU without any restriction and discrimination. This freedom also guarantees foreign laborers. Recently, there is the problem of immigration and this system also means reception of immigration freely. This might be one of the reasons why the UK decided to leave EU. Of course the reception of immigration has many demerits, but I think it is duty for developed countries to help developing countries and the reception of immigration is of some help to developing countries. Like this, the freedom to move has many merits not only for the member nations but also for not member nations.

Third advantage is using the common currency. In EU, almost all countries use EURO as a common currency. This means no need to exchange money and no need to care about the exchange rate. Also, this common currency enables the business in EU to appreciate the profit that they can work in the big sphere of economic. That is to say the common currency expand the market in EU. Another merit is the unification of currency brings the member nations stability and they can attempt currency and economic policy more stable.

Like these, there are many merits of being member of EU. Naturally, the UK has used its own currency. However, the voter turnout the other day means they leave EU, that is to say they let go of these advantages. I disagree with the decision of the UK because I think the UK could appreciate more benefit being a member of EU. I wonder what the UK will be like from now, and this makes me consider the politics of my own country.
