Using a virtual reality is suggested in Auschwitz war trials . This virtual reality is the newest technique by the Bavarian State criminal office, which is thought to be assistance inquiring into the truth of the matter. Because  People can experience the state of slaughter in real if they use this equipment. It is a fact that suspects had worked in Auschwitz concentration camp. However, they say that they hadn’t known what had happened. The most important issue in this trials is whether they had known about slaughter or not. Therefore many people expect that this equipment is useful to pursue the matter.

I think that using a virtual reality has two advantages except to pursue whether suspects had known or not. First, anyone don’t know the details of the incident, so judges cannot help verdicting by a guess. However, judges can decide a crime correctly if they see this equipment. Second, putting on to the general public this can protect to happen same cruel act again. There may be opposition opinions. Of course, this shouldn’t show to young people. However, a grown-up will think we mustn’t make a mistake again if they will see this. Because of these two reasons, using a virtual reality brings good effects.

Iran’s soccer body allows several religious manifestations during a recent World Cup qualifying game in Tehran. As a result, Iran was fined by FIFA. According to soccer’s world governing body, Iran was fined 45,000 Swiss francs because of holding a religious ceremony on November 3. Not only Iran but also many countries were fined and warned for various acts of misbehavior. And these misbehaviors often involve team’s fans. For example, Brazil, Paraguay, Estonia, Ukraine, Chile, and Argetina were fined for antigay chants.

Opinion
In my opinion, we should separate sports and religion. Religious action is usually radical. And sports is sacred and does not allow interventions. So religion should not intervene in sports. But we don’t have to punish religious acts that is not misbehavior. For example, some soccer players often pray to God during the game. However this action wouldn’t be harmful. So in this case, we don’t have to separate sports and religion. We need to think about situation.

Fifa rejects Englan and Scotland request to wear poppies on armbands.

Fifa has turned down a request from England and Scotland for players to wear armbands featuring poppies on Armistice. England play Scotland in a Word Cup qualifier at Wembley on 11 November, the day when the United Kingdom traditionally remembers its war dead. The Football Association of Wales says it is seeking approval for its players to wear the poppy symbol on their shirts when they play Serbia on 12 November. The football associations of England, Scotland and Wales also want to know what the potential punishments could be should they decide to flout the rules. The FA hopes to change Fifa’s mind.

Opinion
I think that sports should not have a connection with political or religious problems. Sports are communication tools in World. To wear armband is expressing each idea. Basically people have right to have free idea. Nation must not force players to express nation’s idea. Some groups which are managed by private citizen can force players to wear armbands or not to do. Fifa is international group. If Fifa can force national team player to express each idea Fifa is superior to each nation. I think international organization should not be superior and inferior. Each organization should respect.

Chicago Cubs End 108-year Championship Drought with World Series Win

Summary

Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series. The last victory of World Series is 1908. It is 108 years ago. The Cubs is a bogey team and have the curse which was called “Billy Goat”. In 1945, Billy liked the Cubs and went to the play field with goat, but Billy’s goat was allowed in the field in the World Series game. So, Billy was angry and said “Them Cubs, they ain’t gonna win no more!” The Cubs haven’t won the World Series since this incident. This is “Billy Goat”. At present, the Cleveland Indians is the team with the longest dry spell between championships. The team last won the World Series in 1948.

 

Opinion

I don’t know much about Chicago Cubs, but I think that a bogey team’s victory is great. The team’s fans get into swing for the victory. It excites much audience for a bogey team to win against a strong team. There are bogey teams in Japan. I know Rakuten and Hiroshima Carp as bogey teams. Both teams are baseball teams. Rakuten have ever won only one time in Japan series. However the victory encouraged many people. Especially, people in Tohoku area were encouraged because Rakuten’s home is Sendai in Tohoku area. Hiroshima Carp is a poor team. It has many core fans in Hiroshima. So, Carp advanced to Japan series this year.

Chicago Cubs end 108- year wait for win

Summary

The Chicago Cubs had never won a World Series game for a long time, so some people assumed that they were under a curse and that they would never win it again.

However, in 2016, the Chicago Cubs won a World Series game for the first time in 108 years.

Finally, a lot of Cubs fans wrote their names and words of congratulations on Wrigrey’s brick walls for the great victory.

My opinion

For a long time, there is no lively person on the Chicago Cubs, so they couldn’t win a world Series game. However, in the post-season this year, a very very important baseball player joined the team. His name is Munenori Kawasaki, a Japanese superstar. He is a reserve player, but he always have a good effect on his teammates even though he is not good at speaking English.

Certainly, hitting a home run over the fence is important, but that’s not all about baseball. Benchwarmer is also very important. Of course, Munenori Kawasaki is the best benchwarmer in the world and he deserves the championship title. It is not too much to say that he brought victory to the team.

 

Chicago Cubs win in the World series since, 108 years ago.

I knew this news before I read it, but I did not know Curse of the Billy Goat. Before 70 years ago, when Chicago Cubs get to go the World Series a man, who name is Billy and goat could not go in the Chicago Cubs’s baseball park. It is because goat was very stink.  So Billy was very angry and he said that I curse Chicago Cubs.  Since then Chicago Cubs has not gotten championship of the World Series.

I do not believe a curse because, I have not experienced it. But I think that, some American believe a curse for example, Tecumseh’s curse or UFO or something.  I think, some American like occult.

I was very happy and surprise when I hear this news because I like Chicago Cubs. Munenori Kawasaki is belonging Chicago Cubs now.  He could not take part in the World Series, but he join in the champagne fight.  I love Munenori Kawasaki when I was 8 years old, so I cheered Chicago cubs.

This year, some baseball game was very fun and exciting and some Japanese baseball players flourished in MLB. Next year, World Baseball Classic will take place in America and Japan. I am anticipating to start!!

Liverpool overcame Watford to go top

In the 43th minutes, Emre Can arrived unmarked at the far post to head in Lallana’s cross. Firmino added the fourth in the 57th minutes and just three minutes later, Mane got his second. Janmaat notched Watford’s first goal in the 75th minutes but Wijnaldum’s tap-in gave Watford the finishing blow. Liverpool hopes to win the club’s first English league title since 1990.

I usually don’t read a sports news but this article attracted me. It was easy for me to understand the content such as who, where, when, what they did. There is not only simple but also the varieties of expression. Sports news tend to be a news that reports only the outcome of a game or contest. However, this article has many varied modes of expression to prevent the content from simplifying. For example, to get a goal is represented by a variety of words: to loop past a goalkeeper, to fire home with a fine low strike, to head in cross, to notch a goal and to tap-in. These expressions are different from each other. A fine low strike means a strong ground shot and tap-in represents to prod a ball into a goal with a little touch. Moreover words such as spree, to fire home, and demolition describe enthusiasm of the stadium. Thus various expressions give us joyful, excitement and sometimes depression. If I were a director of sports news, I would like to write news stories that don’t make readers feel bored.

AFs defy popppy ban despite FIFA sanction threat

Our topic of this week was about confliction between FIFA and FAs.The Football Associations of England and Scotland (AFs) will let players wear black armbands with poppy emblems and are willing to accept any pushment.The poppy symbol is traditionally used to remember those who died during World War One.However,There is a World football’s goverring body which bans political,religious or commercial messages on shirts during games.Finally players were allowed to wear black armbands with poppy symbols but this case is special.The body has not been changed.
As for that body which bans political,religious or commercial messages,I think political and religious messages should be prohibited but commercial ones are fine because if the political and religious confliction happened during a sports game,they would stick to the result of game.It can make games unhealthy.On the other hand,commercial sponsors just want to make their productions or themselves more famous so they don’t be nervous about the result.Because of these reasons,I agree with commercial messages but disagree with political and religious ones.

The Indian Premier League has announced plans to take cricket to the US. But could the home of baseball ever cricket to its heart?

Summary

The US have a long tradition of cricket. At one time, many British people came to America and introduce cricket. So most white inhabitants used to play it. In fact, the match between the US and Canada in 1844 was the first international match. But at the time the Civil War occurred, cricket was unfortunately replaced by Baseball, and since then, it has been played by only the elite who live in the Philadelphia and New York areas. However, there are movements to revive the popularity of cricket. For example, the Indian Premier League will hold its competition in the US.

 

Opinion

I was under the impression that cricket was played only in English, so it was unexpected that the US have long-lasting culture of playing cricket and it is very famous in India. At first, I was wondering at the relationships between cricket and the US, also between cricket and India, but I could understand them by thinking about the history of the US and India.

And, I think the movement to revive the popularity of cricket in the US is really good, because it has room for becoming famous among worldwide people. Or else, it never have been famous in England. I hope that cricket will become famous and be introduced to Japan!!

Andy Murray beats Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Vienna to win the Erste Bank Open

Andy Murray beats Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Erste Bank Open held in  Vienna last week and he moved one step closer to becoming world number one player. He will replace Novak Djokovic, the present number one player, by winning next week’s Paris Masters, provided Djokovic does not reach the final. He will also reach top spot if he reaches the Paris final and Djokovic falls before the semi-finals. In spite of being three times a Grand Slam winner and twice Olympic champion, Murray has never been top of the world rankings. Every win makes him closer to the top, but it’s still seem a long way.

Murray said in the interview, “From two to one seems a small jump in a way but it’s the hardest one to make.” As he says, being top of the world rankings is very difficult in any competition. Usually tennis is a individual sport. To win in a game, a high revel skill is required. They need not only physical or power but also strategy, mental is as much as necessary. To be a top tennis player in the world, they must be exceled in all areas. In this point, I think Djokovic is the strongest tennis player I’ve ever seen. But he is staying too long in the top. I hope a day that Murray will beat Djokovic and become a number one player.
