Zombie nativity scene draws ire and donations in Ohio

An Ohio couple defied orders to remove a zombie-themed nativity scene from their front garden.

The local assembly have said the display violates zoning laws, and local religious groups have denounced it. this couple could face a fine of $500 per day.

The couple is seeking donations to keep the display alive on a Facebook page. They said about this structure that “a wonderful piece of artwork”.

Opinion

I’m an agnostic. So I can’t know how much the Christians felt annoyed with the structure. But I imagine that it likes what I feel if I sow that my ancestor’s portrait are drew in the image of zombies. Because Japanese people enshrine their ancestors.

I guess this statue can be interpreted as the celebration both to Jesus Christ’s birth and the Resurrection. Zombie may means the resurrection. According to my mother who had attended Christian school for 6 years, the resurrection is put greater emphasis than the nativity, because the resurrection means that Christ who was born as a human entered the field of God, and promise of the eternal life. If my conjecture ware right, the couple’s structure have religious meaning and it may raise a question about the the commercialization of religious festival.

I hope Toyota to sell a lot of cars in China. Toyota, which has most annual auto sales in the world, has less than 5% of the market share in China. On another front, I think as a lover of cycling that we need the society to choose rather a bike than a car as a means of transportation. The bicycle is not only good for the environment, is a good exercise. First of all bicycle is also the most energy-efficient invention. In developed countries such as Northern Europe and Netherlands, there are bicycle rentals everywhere in town, and bike paths have also been developed. Japan is backwards in the respect require the development of not only sience technology but also transport infrastructure.

Japanese cabinet found that the plan to build the new national stadium will cost many money, and scrapped this plan. Now they have to make new plan, but the start construction and completion of new stadium will delay and the council of senior officer hinders that. I belong to Keio bicycle racing team and racing against other universities. Most of the players won at least some titles in their past, and some of them are in the national team and racing world wide. Many of those players say that they are going for medals in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Therefore, bicycle racing in Japan is now very enthuasistic, and trying to encourage all of other sports.

At first, all events in Tokyo Olympic was planned to be held near Tokyo city to make it compact. In fact, new Verodrome was planned to be constructed at Ariake and it was fascinating for us, because it would bring more attention to the sport. However, this plan was quickly abandoned due to the shortage of budget. This happened before the new national stadium’s plan was abandoned. This was very dissapointing and we even think that first plan was just made up in order to hold olympic in japan. Sport is not just a hobby for us and it is for a living. Even if the plan was just a fiction, we want it to be constucted for real.

Leather and meat without killing animals

First of all, I agree to use this technology.

Population is growing rapidly in less developed countries, and it is said that it will lead to food shortage. I think the best solution is to mass produce the artificial meat. If the scientists can make this in low-cost, and large quantities, it will be suitable for less developed countries which there aren’t enough food nor money. Also they will get better nutrients than before. It might be possible for poor people who can’t eat enough foods and are lacking nutrients to eat artificial meat. We can say the same thing in leather industry. If we can make fake leather imitating rare animals, it can stop the extermination of those. In near future, we might be eating something inorganic which only includes essential nutrients, like in SF story or astronaut do in space. This is far more efficient than eating organic foods like vegetable and meat. We definitely need this technology in order to make enough food for increasing population. However, this way of eating is completely different to our current eating habit. We have the liberties to enjoy eating food like we do now. If it changes to eating only tablets that are full or nutrients, it means human can not eat in the way human do and human is losing humanity. This will lead to losing our dignity. I think artificial meats can stave off this change.

But it is true that it’s inefficient to feed cattle that consume a lot of water and oxygen. It is unsure if we still need feed them when we have global warming problem. Moreover, I think again paradoxically the foregoing opinion, this technology could lead to stimulate implementation of neo-futuristic foods. If we can make animal protein artificially, is it necessary to shape it like a real meat? It is easier to include those protein into energy bars but this can lead to losing humanity.

So I welcome such technologies, but we should maintain skeptical stances.

Charleston church shooting:Suspected gunman arrested

In the US, South Carolina, a young man who is a white supremacist killed 9 black people in Charleston church, and he has been arrested. He killed also the pastor who was friend of Barack Obama. The president wants to create laws to ban the use of guns.

I think that people should not have guns in the US. If they aren’t allowed have guns, people have not to fear that they are shot by someone and then, guns will be not necessary. Although there are some of politicians try to create laws to ban the use of guns, there are also lobbyists and powerful pressure groups that do gun advocacy and they obstruct the passage of legislation. At the same time, I feel that almost people in the US take very seriously the requirement to regulate guns. My guess is that they only think about such gun shooting incident, “A bam committed a crazy crime again.But people around us wont do crazy move.”

However the young boy who killed black peoples didn’t cause this incident by only reason of he is a white supremacist. He maybe was just angry, and the strange society around him allowed to shoot and kill easily on sudden emotional excitement . Japanese people live in secure have to express definitive interest for such gun shooting incident, and make an appeal to people lives in gun society that our society is better than dangerous society.

Islamic Satate militants ‘smuggled to Europe

Islamic State fighters are being smuggled into Europe by gangs in the Mediterranean, an adviser to the Libyan government has told the BBC. Official in Italy and Egypt have previously warned that IS militants could reach Europe by migrant boat. Earlier this year, the EU’s border control agency, Frontex, warned that it was “possible” that foreign fighters ware using irregular migration routes to get into Europe. Egypt is particularly keen to amplify the threat of Islamic state in Libya as it is desperately seeking approval for international intervention in the country.

This problem is too difficult. It seems to me that there is no way to solve this problem. In Libya, there isn’t the government that tackles this problem. Because Libya is made to be left with no government at all by the revolt caused the Arab Spring. Moreover, some of big militias build cooperative ties with IS. In these facts, this problem become more intractable.

But, we can infer from this article that what the governments of Italy and Egypt said is overbrown or a complete fabrication. Italy wants to keep refugees from entering, and Egypt which is a military-ruled country want to drive out IS. So they maybe lie to get international attention and international help.

Be that as it may, the refugee issue in Libya and occupant by IS have to be dealt with immediately for the sake of Libyan people’s own safety. So I hope that for establishment of a new peaceful government as early as possible.

Burmas riots

Three Muslim gold shop workers jailed for their role in communal violence in Burma. There has been religious conflict between buddhist and Muslims in this country, and this unrest has been taking a heavy toll of lives and making many people forced from their home. The row three Muslims involved and its news made Buddhists to destroy Muslim neighborhoods in Meiktila and three other town.
Last month Burmese government warned that it use forced stop fomenting hatred between faiths and severely punishes perpetrators.

I want all the conflicts that are caused by religion to be solved.
If we understand each other’s religion, it will be easier to live together.
However, I can say this only because I don’t know the reality of it. It is not such an easy matter.
Having checked the internet , it’s not only a religious conflict, but a ethnic conflict between native Burmese who have been believing Buddhism since ancient time and muslims who immigrated from India when Burma was ruled by G.B. Indian are good at business, so Burmese are poorer than them.
Their hatred used to be controlled by the military government, but now government should solved it peacefully under democracy.
Government have to give a hand both race to be reconciled in term of history or work out a policy reducing poverty and inequality between them.
