1. Summary
The article states that the dangers of participating in sport have increased and it also attributes the cause to some points. First, sport players such as rugby players are now much bigger and heavier than they used to be, what is more, they play a more aggressive form of rugby. Secondly, according to Dr, Loosemore, there is a definite trend towards trying out new and more dangerous activities because of the over-protective society. However, Sport itself is attractive because there is some danger involved. It makes this problem further complicated.

2. Opinion
I myself belong to the lacrosse team in university and I’m doing hard training everyday. Lacrosse is called the fastest martial arts because of its speed and roughness. Lacrosse players can hit other player’s arms and shoulders with metal sticks, furthermore, they can thrust other players. Consequently, almost all the prayers always have some bruises on some parts of the body, and some players are suffered from concussion. It is true that lacrosse is a dangerous sport. However, I personally think taking away dangerous part from lacrosse has a negative influence on lacrosse itself because dangerous part is indispensable part of this sport and spectators are absolutely enchanted by this part. What we the lacrosse player should do instead is to take care of our body after training by stretching, wearing a mouth piece to prevent concussion, or something like that.

1.Summary
The two-part play Harry Potter and the cursed child has cast its lead characters. Surprisingly, black actress called Noma Dumenzweni will star as Hermione Granger, one of the main characters of the story that Emma Watson co-stared as in the movie. Some people responded negatively toward this casting. However, the author of the original story JK Rowling commented that she never mentioned about the color of the skin of Hermione and she was looking forward to seeing la k Hermione in the play. A lot of people eagerly anticipate the play.

2. Opinion
I myself got used to watch Emma Watson staring as Hermione in one of my favorite fantasy movies called Harry Potter. However, I personally think this casting in the play was plausible. Harry Potter story is based on the birding school in the UK which cost too much money for ordinary citizens. If the 3 main characters are stated by white actors and actress, it possibly emphasizes the image of the privileged class and the racism. Recently, the new movie of the Star Wars series was released and the black actor stared as one of the main characters. I think It is important to pay attention to such point of view when casting someone for movies nowadays.

1. Summary

To summarize the article, China will soon complete a series of controversial land reclamation projects in South China Sea. The US and other countries surrounded by South China Sea claimed that China will use those islands for military purpose, on the other hand, China says that those islands are mainly for maritime search and rescue, disaster relief and reserch. The US told China to immediately stop the reclamation last year so there has been  a tension between China and The US since that.

I personally think that China should immediately stop the reclamation of those islands for following reason. There are  UNCLOS 200 nautical mile exclusive economic zone for each country, in other words territorial waters were decided by international law. The disputed islands in this article are all located in the exterior of the China’s territorial waters. I just can not understand why China is not punished for there action that clearly violating the international law. To conclude, I think China should stop reclamating the islands on other countries’ territorial water.

To summarize the speech, the speaker convinced us that we should use a biofabrication technology instead of killing animals for food and leather for sustainable future. Firstly, he argued that the way we are adopting to get foods and leather did not make any sense, and we will not be able to sustain that. And then he talked about how biofabrication is superior to that.

And my opinion about this speech is as follow.

Some people might think that we should continue killing animals for foods and leather; however, I personally think that we should make use of biofabrication for following two reasons.

We talked about the problem in Syria, particularly about the civil war and the migration to Europe. My summary and opinion are as follow.

1. Summary

Nowadays, hundreds of asylum seeker have set sail from Libyan coast to Europe by old fishing boats. This article is about six young men from Syria among these migrants. Four brothers and two friends have fled the civil war and were found by Italian coast guard in Mediterranean Sea. They said it was a death trip and the trip across the Mediterranean was more frightening than the war back at home. Then they took the night train to Germany where their father had already been there and waited for them. They looked forward to see his father and mother again and be one family all together.

2. Opinion

I have two opinions about this article. Firstly, I personally think that this article is really interesting and different from other ones. Most of the articles are telling just an affair that has happened, however, this article focused on particular family that we can see not only the matter but also a personal feeling of a person or people concerned. Seeing it, we seemed to get the situation more seriously because we can be more sympathetic than reading normal ones. Second, showing an interest on the problems is very important. Actually, I barely knew about these serious issues before reading this. Not knowing about the problem, we cannot do anything to solve the problem and if we don’t have a power to do that, we can just talk to our friends so that more and more people are concerned about the affair. These two are my opinions about this article.

We talked about a circumstances of the 2016 Summer Olympic in last class. The summary and my opinion is as follow.

1.  Summary of the Article

Basically, Rio De Janeiro, the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games is known as the mavelous city because of its beautiful landscape. However, Guanabara Bay, the location of the sailing events is known for having contaminated waters. City officials have said that they would reduce the amount of sewage flowing into the bay, but it seems really difficult situation because the Brazilian sailing and environmental organization refused to cooperate to clean up the bay. Officials in Rio say that the Olympic event route will be safe, on the other hand, environmentalists say that if the events takes place during low tide, there may be dangerous consequences.

2. My opinion

I really enjoy Olympic games that take place once in every four years, so I strongly hope that the situation will get better. I personally think that the officials should change the location of the sailing events because little progress has been made cleaning up Guanabara Bay unless it has been a goal of government for many years and hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on cleanup projects going back more than 20 years. Moreover, few observer believe the situation will improve. These three reasons are why I think the location of the sailing events should be changed.
