Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got the Confederation of African Football’s player of the year award. In the vote, he got seven points more than Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure. Aubameyang is from Gabon, and now play soccer in the Bundesliga’s league. He thanked his family, team mates and the President of Gabon. The President returned a compliment, describing him as a great Gabonese. And the President thought that he would be a key person when they host the next Africa Cup of Nations in 2017.
To be honest, it is not until I read this artcle that I recognize Aubameyang, who is a star soccer player. For Gabonese children, he is a hero, and he gives dreams to a lot of people in Gabon. As he plays a more active play, Gabon will be famous, and will host the Africa Cup of Nations, I think. So far, in Africa, Cote d’Ivoire and Algeria is strong countries in soccer, but after a several years, Gabon would be stronger than now and turn out star players like Aubameyang.
