Star Wars fans set for world premiere in Los Angeles

[Summary]

The latest film , The Force Awakens , will be showed in Los Angels. It’s the seventh film of the Star Wars series. There are three cinemas where the film will be showed , and fans have waited outside cinemas since last week. However, It’s difficult to buy tickets. Fans must spend at least 24 hours in line. Moreover, there were too people to buy tickets on line. I t resulted in the problem that some cinema website didn’t work well.

In Japan, the film will be showed after tomorrow. Everywhere , we can see events or goods or posters which encourage us to watch the film. I watch TV programs which introduce it everyday. Then, I was interested in the news that Disney have got a lot of profits of license business. In 2012, Disney purchased Lucas Film which had made Star Wars series. It means Disney got the right of making films or animations and selling character goods of Star Wars. Especially, Disney has succeeded in the character business. Their strong point is extensive distribution and wide variety of goods. However, I heard some collectors have got angry because the values of goods get decrease now. They spent a lot of money to buy goods which were not produced and distributed so much. But now, Disney produces and sells a lot of these goods. The more goods are produced and sold, the less the value become. So fans wouldn’t like to buy them. In my opinion, Disney’s strong point is useful to get new fans and encourage them to see the movie. However, Disney must think about the strategy which fascinates old fans. I heard that the exhibition that we can see the clothes or items actors used is so popular. And it’s good idea that we can visit to see the movie studio.

Obama:Trade deal “levels the playing field”

【Summary】

President Obama said the １２　nations involved in TPP reached an　agreement. TPP stands for the Trans-Pacific partnership. Its aim is setting taxes lower or abolishing to trade actively with each nations. Mr Obama said people can get a profit fairly. However, other influential people of the US are against him. They include Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democratic ones Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton.

Recently, I learned that they are no party restrictions in the US.　Politicians can state their opinions freely.　Therefore, there are a lot of arguments over politics. It seems more difficult to decide a deal than Japan. However, TPP is the important and complexed topic. That’s because various people, politicians, farmers and we consumers are related in it. They have different opinions. If low-priced crops are imported from international countries, it helps our household economy. On the other hand, Japanese farmers must compete with them and they are worried about it . It is difficult to compete in terms of a price. In my opinion, I expect farmers to become more confident. I heard High-quality and safe crops made in Japan are popular in both of domestic and international markets. My mother always chooses vegetables made in Japan. I can eat them with a relief. We should consider TPP a turning point to change Japanese agriculture into more aggressive one in a global market.

Leather and meat without killing animals

He talked that the number of people is increasing, and after several decades, it will reach 10billion. Then, we will need to raise 100 billion animals to get meats, eggs, and leathers. But we will task the earth and cause various environmental prablems. To prove this problem, he introduced Biofabrication. It is the way to cultivate cells and grow animal products like meat and leather. He said that Biofabrication is more civilized way than just killing animals.

I think that his idea is innovative. That’s because I had believed that we cannot help killing animals to get meats and leathers. But he denied this common knowledge, and he tries innovating alternative technology. Of course, I love meats and I want to choose what to eat freely. But originally, I’m a part of life on the earth. So we must be kind to the environment, animals and generation in the future. But I think that there are some problems for that we eat mant-made meat.

Firstly, the cost is very high. In 2013, Dutch Maastricht University Mark Post developed the hamburger made from man-made meat. The meat looked realistic and delicious. But making one pate costed 26,000,000 yen. The reason of this high cost is that making man-made meat needs a complicated process. However realistic the meat looks, we don’t buy tasteless meat. To make delicious and complicated meat, high technology and special materials are needed. They involve with high cost.

Second problem is how they encourage people to eat man-made meat. Biofabrication is new attempt. Of course, many people will get confused at first. I want to know whether the meat is really safe, and how I should preserve them.

Finally, I think that it’s important for this attempt to succeed as a business. So they encourage companies to invest and sell their products. They should appeal the worth and possibility through sampling events and the media.

South Africa deports Mozambicans after anti-foreigner violence

Today, I heard about the xenophobic attacks in South Africa. In South Africa,citizens are suffered from poverty. They acccuse foreigners of taking their jobs. In April, they attacked many immigrants from other African countries. Until now, seven people dead, including one Mozambican. And more than 400 Mozambicans were push out from South Africa by force. This movement is xenophobic attack. The police in South Africa arrested more than 4000 people to settle down the violence. And many of the deoported Mozambicans have been housed in tents.

In my opinion, there are immigrants problems around the world. Immigrants and migrants are suffered from poverty in their countries. So they go to foreign countries to get jobs to live. The governments must realize that this situation is serious. Firstly, the governments must struggle to improve their finance and protect citizen’s lives. Futhermore, it’s important for nations to help with each other. Accepting immigrants may be one of the ways to develop the relationship between nations. If the economy were stable, citizens and immigrants would be able to work together without violence.

But I think it difficult. That’s because it takes long time to reconstruct the finance, while more and more people immigrate to live. Poor people will do everything to live, even if they attack other people.

Burma riots

Today, I read about religion problem in Burma. In Burma Most people are Buddhists and Muslims are minolities.

Rohingya Muslims are said to cause unstainability in Burma.So they are not recognized as Burmese citizens.They fight the persecution.

In Meiktila,three Muslims worked at the gold shop.One day, a dispute occurred .They were convicted of theft and assault. A court in Burma has sentenced them to 14 years in jail for their role in communal violence that has left more than 40 dead. That’s because the dispute at the shop is thought to have triggered deadly clashes between Burma’s Muslims and Buddhist communities.

The violence spread to other towns.More than12.000 Muslims have been displaced from their homes since the clashes began on 20 March.The influence of the news extended violence.AP agency reports state prosecutors say religious extremists are building several cases against dozens of people involved in the violence,includingBuddists and Muslims.But there are no evidence.

Government of Burma wants to hide this religious conflict between Buddhist and Muslim.Last year, Prime Minister of Burma Thein Sein said the government would use force to stop political opportunists and religious extremists from make relationship between faiths worse.

I think it’s necessary to solve religious conflict for democratization.But it’s so delicate problem and it takes long time.So the conference and the corporation of global society are needed.
