The Force Awakens has taken an estimated 517 million dollars globally in three days. In addition, the new Star Wars film also set a new opening night record in the US and Canada. The previous opening night record by Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is 43.5 million dollars but The Force Awakens made 57 million dollars on opening night. The new Star Wars film made a variety of new records in short period of time.

After I read this article, I surprised at the new Star Wars film’s record and I think the new title of a series is easy to get big number of people who go to the theater to watch this movie. As the record for the biggest box office debut weekend and anew opening night record show, their record’s top is held by the new one of a series. I think it’s because they have a trust about interesting and the fans become increasing with the series increase. Given that reason, I think the new title of a series is easy to make record.

This article is about cooking robot. In April, Hannover Messe which is a big trade fair for industrial technology held in Germany and Moley Robotics was demonstrating the cooking machine. This cooking robot learns by capturing the movements of a human in the action of preparing a meal. But this machin is too big to use in the home so Moley wants to make this more compact and make this machine have a refrigerator and dishwasher. Moley thinks this machine will be able to have a sense like a human and is will be the device which makes people’s life comfortable.

After I read this article, I think about the convenience of cooking machine and a limit of it. I think this robot is very convenience and it will help our lives. If this machine will develop like moley’ thinking, it can make a variety of delicious dishes without our cooking. We can eat a variety of foods like famous chef. It is very convenient thing but I think there is a limit in this cooking robot. This machine cooks with read the recipes in a web so it can make foods like a chef. I think it can cook like a human but it doesn’t have ideas which are about cooking like a human. Given that reason ,I think about the convenience of cooking machine and a limit of it.

This topic is about problem of spying. On October 12, a verdict has been issued in the trial about Jason Rezaian who is a reporter in US. He was detained in Iran because he was doubtful as a spy. Jason Rezaian, 39, has been detained in Iran for more than a year. If he will be found guilty, he would be inflicted the punishment of facing 10 to 20 years in prison.  Mr. Rezaian and his lawyer were eligible to appeal the conviction within 20 days.

I think this topic expresses a high state of tension and it does not have no connection in Japan. In September, Japanese people were detained in China with being suspected as a spy. There many similar points between our topic and this case in China. To make espionage actively is caused by the relationship in international society or among countries. The case which is about Japanese being detained will make the relationship between Japan and China more severely. This is very serious problem for japan. Given that reason, I think this topic expresses a high state of tension and it does not have no connection in Japan.

In the video, Andras Forgacs spoke about biofabrication. Biofabrication is to make animal’s parts for example, leather, meat and so on from their cell. He recommended this technology because of avoiding waste and wide range of application. The first reason is avoiding waste. At present, people keep many animals for food and making various kinds of items. The cost of keeping and growing animals is very expensive and it is very hard job. In addition, some animal’s parts are wasted when we kill animals for food and item. However, if we adopt biofabrication, we can make foods and many items without keeping and killing animals. The second reason is wide range of application. We can not only make foods and items with biofabrication but also make use of other ways. For example, doctors can cure people lost their parts of body. Biofabrication is making parts from cells so we can make body parts for medical treatment with biofablication. It is very useful. Given that reasons, he think we should innovate biofabrication.

I agree to use biofabrication. It’s because biofabrication is very useful and environmentaly-friendly. I f we use biofabrication, we can make foods, items and so on effectively and without waste. However I think there are some problems to be solved. For example, necessary to change people’s way of thinking and damage of farmers.　First is necessary to change people’s way of thinking. Some people agree to eat foods made by biofabrication, others disagree. For innovating biofabrication, we have to change view of people who disagree biofabrication food or item. Second is damage of farmers. If we start using biofabrication, people may not be going to need meat that is made by farmer. The work of farmer may become unnecessary and farmers lose their job. So we must think about the type of business which is competition against biofabrication.

Biofabrication is very useful but there are some problems. I think we have to solve such as problems and we should innovate biofabrication.

We read and talked about “Bomb Threat at US Embassy in San Jose, Costa Rica” in the last class.

This article is about terrorism in Costa Rica. Early morning in July 17, U.S. embassy received call, alerting them to a potential bomb threat. There are national and international visitors in the U.S. embassy. The embassy started to search bomb and to blockade perimeter which must be vacated by walkers. As a result, the bomb proved to be nothing around the embassy. All meetings and emergency which visits to the embassy were removed and the buildings reopened at 10:11am. Meetings that had already passed by that time were still honored.

Like this article, embassies or countries have a lot of risk to be threated or attacked by terrorists and so on. After I read this article, I think the government should regulate terrorists more strictly. It’s because necessary of preventing act of terrorism. I think the governments have to block terrorism before terrorists attack. It’s too late after happening terrorists attack country and if governments make regulation more strictly, chances to arrest terrorists become better. Given that reason, I think the government should regulate terrorists more strictly.

In the last class, we read and talked about “Indian man denied job for ‘being Muslim’“

This topic is about religion conflict. Mr. Khan who believe Muslim don’t be hired by non-Muslim company. He posted the offensive email on Facebook and filed a complaint with the police against the firm in Mumbai and the government in Maharashtra state has promised to conduct an inquiry. However, the firm said the his email was mistakenly sent. In a word, people who believe Muslim is only hired by Muslim company and people who believe Hindu is hired by only Hindu company. This MR. Khan’s case is spread by a various of medias.

After I read this topic, I think the government should improve religion discrimination like this topic and we must make efforts to get rid of religion discrimination. For example, the government makes the law which prohibit the company hire candidates by their religion. It’s because, I think that to hire candidates by their religion makes religion conflicts and discrimination worse and make other a various of problems.Given that reason, I think the government should improve religion discrimination like this topic and we must make efforts to get rid of religion discrimination.

We read and talked about “Greenpeace sorry for Nazca lines stunt in Peru” in the last class.
The Peruvian government said the greenpeace which is a group of protecting nature entered a strictly prohibited area and left footprints in the area of the Nazca lines. The government is asking for the identities of those involved and threatening prosecution and six years in prison for the offenders. Greenpeace have issued a fulsome apology, saying they are deeply concerned about any “moral offence” and stating that they will speak to the authorities and explain what really happened. Finally, International Executive Director of Greenpeace Kumi Naidoo will travel to Lima this week personally to apologise for the offence caused.
After I read this topic, I think the government should protect cultural property or World Heritage Sites and keep them high quality. It’s because things people can do for cultural property or World Heritage Sites are limited. In this topic, Nazca lines were stunted but it is possible to happen similar case in Japan. There are many World Heritage Sites in Japan. For example, Mt Fuji, Himeji castle, Hiroshima Peace Memorial and so on. We must protect and leave them　but things people can do is limited. Given that reason, I think the government should protect cultural property or World Heritage Sites and keep them high quality.
