IOC approve switch of cycling venues for 2020 Tokyo Olympics

[summary]

after month of negotiation, the IOC on Wednesday approved cycling venues for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, including cost-cutting move of indoor tracks events to a facility in Izu.

The international cycling union had resisted the move to Izu because it would detract from the Olympic experience for athletes and fans. However, international cycling union eventually agreed to the change.

The IOC said that Izu venues will undergo significant renewal and seating capacity will be increase.

Some competition will be held in Tokyo, others one will be held in Izu.

As he solution of distance from Tokyo, athletes and staffs stay at a satellite village located close to venues.

[my opinion]

I think that moving venues is a good idea especially the side of economics.

Tokyo Olympic committee have a lot of problem. For example, copyright of symbol mark designed by Mr. Sano, and lack of cooperation between government and Tokyo prefecture, and lack of money to construct the National Stadium.

National Stadium’ construction plan become blank paper because of lack of budget.

Like this example, Tokyo Olympics committee should save money for Japenese economy. So, I think that reducing budget to be held Izu, where is far away from Tokyo.

I think there are a lot of way to solve the problem about distance like in this article.
