Athletics doping crisis

Summary
Russian athletics federation was criticized for having some involvement in widespread doping. Also for this reason, they are not probable to be able to participate in Rio Olympics. An International Association of Athletics Federations inspection committee will investigate Russia.
And they are likely to report back to the IAAF at the earliest, late March. It’s remain almost four months by the Olympics.
According to the president of European Athletics, Russia have to get away all of the player who have used performance enhancing drugs and change their culture.

Opinion
I like to play sport especially run short distance. In sport-festival season, I practice running almost every morning and lunch break to be faster though I was in basketball club. I tried so hard that I felt a sense of achievement and delight when I got the first prize in the sport-festival.
So I can’t understand the mentality of those who compete by drugs. Also, I was really shocked doping is wide spreading problem. Truly, there might be aspects that for athletes, producing good results have some connection to money. However, I thought players are proud their job. I really hope in Tokyo Olympic, we can watch matches which will be fair and square.

Kiss and tell? Nobel-winning doctor gives inside dish on smooching study

Today’s article is about kiss. It’s found that kissing with a lover 30 minutes in relaxing situation can alleviate allergic symptoms. Mr. Kimata, the doctor who discovered it won the 2015 spoof Ig Nobel medicine prize.However, Japanese woman tend not to want to kiss with her husband and the doctor refuse to say clearly weather it’s enough to kiss with her children or not.There is another doctor who revealed laughter can ease allergic conditions. According to Mr. Kimata, he owes his prize to the doctor’s research. He got an idea of kissing through his survey about laughter.

If there are medical treatment and natural healing, and both ways give me same result, I’d rather choose the latter. It’s because medicine is artificial, so perhaps, they have side effects without our recognition. Therefore, when I read this article, I thought this discovery was really epoch-making one and I wanted to spread this information. However, the prize which the doctor got was “Ig Nobel Prize”. “Ig” means “joke”, so this investigation may not be true. Indeed, in this article, there are no detailed information or persuading evidence like “how to ease symptoms”. I was disappointed when I knew that, however, it’s often said that kiss reduce stress. So I’m looking forward to being announced kiss has special effect on our health someday.

Brits Accused of Putting Trade Above Rights in China

<Summary>

Chinese President visited to Britain for signing the deal. According to this agreement, China decided to invest more than 40 billion dollars. This money will be used for something like a new nuclear power plant in Britain. Chinese President thinks his visit starts the new relationship between China and the West. However, the critics said this treatment ignore the Chinese not well off people’s human right. Also, there are some British who protest and worry that UK’s priorities turn away from human right with this deal as a start.

<Opinion>

There is so huge gap between the rich and the poor in China. They say that the gap between them is five times as big as that of Japan. For instance, the rich come to Japan and buy incredibly a lot of branded goods. On the other hand, it is said that not so rich people make their living by less than one dollar per day. Furthermore, Chinese economy is stagnating now. By the way, I think countries must guarantee human right. It’s because human right make it possible for the weak to be protected legally. Concerning these factors, I can’t see why China can afford to make power plant in other country. They should do something which make economic situation better.

UNESCO row shows politics should stay out of history issues

<Summary>

The Nanking Massacre is the event that Chinese military and general citizen were killed when the Japanese military occupied a Chinese metropolitan Nanking city in 1937 in the Sino-Japanese war early stage. UNESCO has decided to register “the Nanking Massacre ” with “memory legacy”. Worldwide, the Nanjing Massacre is fact. But Japan denies fact of its Nanjing Massacre. Japan is refusing for a memory legacy to authorize that by UNESCO. On the other hand China is insisting that this is fact. This will be the chance to settle Chinese history point and political issue with Japan. We won’t be supposed to forget history for the future now and we have to learn from history.

<Opinion>

The problem is very nervous. Therefore it can’t be settled easily. But it has to be confronted with history so that we don’t make the same mistake. There is sometimes a case that an inconvenient event isn’t put on a textbook of history for itself in Japan. Therefore some people don’t know the major events which is sensibly learned about in the world. “The Nanjing Massacre” which is this topic is the example. The reason that such event doesn’t appear on a textbook depends on policy. We can’t turn the policy easy. But it’s necessary to know some history facts. So I think that we have to gather information for it actively by an individual and try to know the truth.

“Leather and meal without killing animals”

Here is my reaction.

We maintain and slaughter too many animals for our food and leather products. And along with the expansion of population, the number of livestock will increase. But, to keep living animals make a big sacrifice for environment. The one reason of that is they emit gases which accelerate global warming. So today, instead of animals, biofabrication is thought to be going to be sustainable and scalable alternative means. Actually, in medicine, sophisticated body parts are made and implanted successfully. However, most people may hesitate to eat novel food which is made artificially. So they decided to start with leather products. By biofabrication, leather is made from scratch so they control its nature. That means they can make leather which have desired qualities. As this fact shows us, biofabrication is environmentally responsible, efficient and humane. Therefore, we should think back about slaughtering animals as a resource.

In my point of view, biofabrication is really useful way to produce leather goods. I don’t think people hang back to buy products made from such leather. However, speaking about food, it takes long time to become familiar with people as a food for human. My host mother was a vegetarian. According to her, the reason of that was for health. She said what livestock eat is what we eat, but we can’t know what they eat accurately. Also I have watched the movie about food. There was a man who had ingredient of corn in his hair though he didn’t eat corn. The cause of it was his meal. He ate cheap beef and its feed was genetically modified corn. As known by these fact, food have much influence for our body. Furthermore, recently, many people are becoming health-conscious. In such a circumstance, it’s not likely to spread artificial food immediately. For these reasons, I think biofabrication is very promising technique in respect of product like a handbag but not in food.

Copycat movie? Filmmaker denies knocking off Pixar’s ‘Cars’

<Summary>

It is said that the movie, “The Autobots” that has released recently in China is the copy of Pixar’s animation “Cars”. The poster, the title and the characters of “The Autobots” are so similar to these of “Cars”. Many Chinese movie goers disappointed and said “shamelessly copied movie” about it. A spokeswoman for Pixar doesn’t issue the clear statement but she says they have the same opinion of many movie fans. The director and production of “The Autobots” admit that they learned from Disney movies, but insist the movie is original one. Also, the director says he has never watched “Cars”.

<Opinion>

From my Japanese perspective, I don’t think we can buy fake products and we shouldn’t permit everyone to sell them. The reason I think so is maybe I am a Japanese. Japanese products are often copied, especially electrical products. However, my discussion leader said that in poor country like Cambodia, there are people who make a living to sell imitated products. Truly, if fake products were rampant, producers of real goods would receive damage for instance, in the aspect of sales. But after I know that fact, I think I can’t necessarily say copied product should be rooted out absolutely.

Ted Talk

Hier is my reaction

According to this presentation, we breed several billions of domestic animals to death, and make a product is crazy. If population will increase in the future, the need of the domestic animal is necessary more, too. Serious load depends on the earth to maintain several thousand domestic animals. Then environment and public sanitation and food safety become in danger. So we arrive at making a product derived from animals such as leather or the meat without killing an animal. We make the cell of the animal like to make the organ of the person with 3D printer. And to make some product by 3D printer has many Succeed example.

Based on presentation I think that to use 3D printer and not killing animals is good way. I have three opinions why I think it is good way.

First, we can stop that to do a cruel thing. I thought that it is natural to eat meat. So I did not regard that to eat meat is to killing animals. I noticed that it was very cruel for animals and I became afraid of if people are murdered and eaten in the same way as an animal. We should be able to eat meat without killing animals.

Second, to use 3D printer is good for environment. The domestic animal is one of the causes of the global warming. Because they are region and the fresh water the best of user in the world. If to use 3D printer, it is not need region and the fresh water. And 3D printer can make it as much as it is necessary. If killing animals and to make product or meat, there are part to abandon unnecessary. If we use 3D printer, some wastes disappears.

Third, there are many cultural success examples with the 3D printer. We succeed in making a body tissue of the complicated structure in a medical field, and the transplant to a patient also succeeds. Because it is used in medicine, the safety of the 3D printer is high. It is the technique that is humanitarian, and can feel relieved.

In conclusion, I pretty much agree with making a product derived from without killing animals. This is very good way for animals, environmental, earth and us. So I think that the technique such as the 3D printer should develop more.

Indian man denied job for “being Muslim”

1) The summary of the article

Mr Khan was denied to work in the Jewelry Company. It is because he is Muslim. The company was severely condemned from social media on this matter. Then the company sent e-mail him that ”We regret to tell that to hire only non-Muslims.”  He has a high career was angry this is a deep discrimination.  And he exposes its rude mail on Facebook.  Then the government promised to equal employment opportunities.  However the company was trying to escape responsibility. Because the e-mail send trainee.  Other writers were also angry about this matter.  Many social media users accused the company that’s religious discrimination.

2) My opinion

I think that religion discrimination is not good. It is because religion discrimination sometimes cause war. History has proved it.  And war makes only sad. So we should not be religion discrimination. But still religion discrimination exists in various places as it was written in this article. Religion discrimination is not easy to be solved. Because it has many problems, such as history, thought and so on. We have to understand each religion. It is not easy thing. But I think that understanding each other is most important to solve religion discrimination. If religion discrimination disappear, the world can get a piece of peace.

“Eight Brazilian football fans shot dead”

“Eight Brazilian football fans shot dead, Sao paolo shootings take place a day before Corinhians clash with local rivals Parmerias”

In the last class, we discuss the article about football in South America.           The summary and my opinion are as follows.

1) The summary of the article

Eight football fans were gunned down ahead of a semi-final match at the Corinthians fan club headquarters in Sao Paulo.

The shooting was confirmed by a Corinthians club official to AFP. The source noted the fan club is not affiliated with the official Corinthians football squad. And the team tweeted “Mourning” at ahead of semi-final game.

Brazil football matches have been tainted by violence in the past. Police shot and killed a teenager when clashes erupted between rival football hooligans near Porto Alegre in the south of Brazil. It is estimated around 30 people died in football violence in the country in 2013.

2) Opinion

I think Brazilian football fans have passion for football.

Passion is very good. But violence is not good and it is not support for football.It is not defile the football by violence.

So we have to think how to stop violence from Brazilian football. I make the two proposals for violence stop.

First, to make a call for violence stop. For example, to make many posters and emphasize “Mourning” voice. Football fan loves football. So I think if team say “Mourning”, they stop violence.

Second, the official Corinthians football squad affiliated with the fan club. I think if official squad take care to fan, they do not violence each other.

In conclusion, Brazilian football fan have to stop violence. Therefore official football squad and region cooperation are necessary.
