Gamba’s Patric considering Japanese citizenship

[Summary] Gamba Osaka’s Brazilian Patric is considering applying for
Japanese citizenship because he wants to play for Japan at the 2018 World
Cup finals in Russia. The 28-year-old Patric joined Gamba in July 2014 and
played a pivotal role in helping them win a domestic treble. If he stays in
Japan for two more years, he can apply for Japanese citizenship. In taking
Japanese citizenship, Patric would follow in the footsteps of such
Brazilian-born players as Marcus Tulio Tanaka, Alessandro Santos, Wagner
Lopes and Ruy Ramos. He was racially abused by an Urawa supporter on
Twitter in November.

[My opinion] Soccer is my favorite sport. Therefore this article interested
me very much. Some people are against allowing foreign player to join in
Japanese national team. I think there is some truth in what they say.
Japanese rugby national team has many foreign players. When I saw the team
in TV, I was surprised by a number of foreigners. Is it really “Japanese”
team? But this is common knowledge in the fields of sport. To strengthen
the team, we need help from foreign players. So far we have taken such a
way. For example, at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa Marcus Tulio Tanaka
played a pivotal role in helping Japanese national team. I’m for allowing
foreign player to join in Japanese national team. However I don’t know
Patric will be elected by manager of Japanese national team.

Malaysia, Singapore Water-Bomb Indonesian Forests As Countries Strategy To Tackle Haze

[Summary]Ten aircraft, including from Malaysia and Singapore, doused parts
of South Sumatra, Indonesia, to fight forest fires. Leaders met to discuss
ways of fighting the haze spreading around the region. Malaysian Prime
Minister Najib Razak decided to increase their assistance in dousing the
fires after a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Jakarta. The
haze is caused by Indonesian burning forests to make way for palm oil and
paper plantations. It’s carried by winds to neighboring countries. Widodo
and Najib, whose countries produce 85 percent of the world’s palm oil,
agreed to start working on global standards for the palm oil industry aimed
in part at addressing the burning of forests.

[My opinion] Widodo and Najib agreed to start working on global standards
for the palm oil industry aimed in part at addressing the burning of
forests. I think this decision is very good and the global standard will
play a social role. Now an environmental pollution is problem. It caused an
environmental pollution that Many countries think highly of economic
development and neglect environmental protection. Sustainability is
important. In order to continue to cultivate palm oil, farmers have to
preserve the forests sometimes. This is sustainable way. For this reason,
the global standard is worth starting.

The establishment of biofabrication

Andras Forgacs and his father started a company to 3D print human tissues and organs. This is biofabrication. Since then, much progress has been made, both in their lab and other labs around the world. And given this, they started getting questions like, “If you can grow human body parts, can you also grow animal products like meat and leather?” Today we human beings maintain a global herd of sixty billion animals to provide our meat, dairy, eggs and leather goods. And over the next few decades, as the world’s population expands to 10 billion, this will need to nearly double to 100 billion animals.

I’m for killing animals for food. I think it is morally OK. Providing that we are also animal, it is not wrong to kill other animals. To survive, we must do the same act as lions do. However, as Andras Forgacs says, the world’s population is expanding more and more. So over the next few decades we will suffer from a lack of food. From now we should consider the food problem for our future, because animals are not infinite. So biofabrication might play an important role in the future.

First, biofabrication must win the confidence by people everywhere. I guess that people hesitate to eat artificial meats and artificial leather goods instead of real meats and leather goods. To avoid this situation, Andras Forgacs must make people understand that biofabrication products have the same quality as real leather products. Furthermore, biofabrication leather products should be value-added like German BIO products. If the brand of biofabrication products establish, it will be accepted worldwide.

Cancer patient becomes Colombia’s first legal euthanasia case

[Summary] A 79-year old Colombian man has become the first person in the country to die legally by euthanasia. (Euthanasia means mercy killing.) He was suffering from terminal throat cancer and said he had been suffering unbearable pain. Colombia is one of the few countries in the world and the only one in Latin America, where euthanasia is allowed. Assisted suicide was approved by the Constitutional Court in the 1990s. But Colombia Catholic Church has said euthanasia is morally unacceptable. Furthermore, critics also point out that the measure has not been voted by Congress.

[My opinion] I’m for that euthanasia is allowed. Mercy killing may be indeed morally unacceptable. But euthanasia is different from suicide. If a man is suffering from a heavy disease and has unbearable pain, the man is able to choose euthanasia. My grandmother died of leukaemia. Just before she was dying between life and death, she had been given a morphine injection. Not to make her feel pain, we our family decided to do assisted suicide. This was a definite decision for our family. But we resolved to do this by a goodwill, not an ill will. From my experience I think that euthanasia in the hospital should be done.

Turkey ruling AK party loses majority in an election

[Summary] Turkey’s governing AKP has lost its parliamentary majority. AKP had gained power for the first time in 13 years and improves the economy for years. But the economy stays these years and prices are high. So it caused anti-government movements. With 99% of the vote counted, the AKP has 41% of the vote. The result has a bad influence on President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s plans to boost his office’s powers. He, who first came to power as prime minister in 2003, had been seeking a two-thirds majority to turn Turkey into a presidential republic.

[My opinion] I think that this result is not good, because government come to not pass bill easily in the Turkey’s single-chamber system. If opposition parties only reject the plans of AKP without another good idea, Turkey’ s parliament won’ t be activated. So the opposition which was elected by citizen has a great responsibility. And I want to write another aspect. In a last discussion I can’t understand well why the result of this vote is a blow to Turkey’s President. But maybe President has been building a good connection with AKP. If it’s true, the result might be not bad. It prevents President from becoming a dictator.
