【Summary】
US scientists succeed to find the way to stop spreading malaria to humans from the mosquitoes. It was the method called Crisper that scientists put a new ‘’resistance’’ gene into the mosquito’s DNA. This ‘’resistance’’ gene could be inherited by offspring among three generations. In addition, the California team used Indian mosquito called Anopheles stephensi for the experiment. Scientists could make mosquitoes poor host for the malaria parasite by putting new DNA code into their bodies. They hope that this method also works another kind of insects.
Other scientists have been finding another way to stop spreading the disease. They approach from the side of infertile.
【Opinion】
There are some ways to prevent from the biting of insects such as using the insecticides, but they are not powerful. Because of they do not have the strong effects, the lab techniques will be helpful for people in the future. These techniques have the strong hopes of human beings all over the world. This will help a lot of people and next generations.
I think the important thing is that we should not believe only the scientific technologies so strongly because nobody knows what happens to the next. It might bring the bad news or not. Sometimes, we should think carefully by using own head and check the information. I think additional using of the insecticides and repellents are more helpful even if the gene methods worked successful.
