Rights Group condemns Myanmar Bill on Interfaith Marriage

【Summary】

Myanmar’s parliament proposed 4 bills on interfaith marrige. First: the Buddhist Women’s Special Marriage Bill, second: the Population Control Health Care Bill, third: the Religious Conversion Bill, forth:the Momogamy Bill. In these bills, especially first one is the main point of the controversy. This bill prevents Buddhist woman from getting married another religious man.Rights group insisted that for Muslims and other religious people, this bill is discrimination on the basis of their basis of their ethnicity and increasingly, their religion.

【Opinion】

It is not good to discriminate against a person in religion. I think religion doesn’t have the superiority and inferiority. The religion is only different in  a thing to believe in and is intended to feel at ease for heart. So it isn’t necessary to prohibit marriage by differnce in religion. But from old years, some religions have been oppressed. The Jewish persection was one case, but I wondered why such a thing happened.
