Andras Forgacs said that there will be 10 billion people in the earth in 2050, so if we maintain how to use animals like the present situation, we will need 100 billion land animals. This means that the earth will be taken a lot of load and environment, public health and safety of eating will be worse.
To solve this problem, we should use bio-fabrication. Firstly, he started to make leather because leather is widely used and has a one-cell type. Besides, it is easier for consumers to wear fabricated leather than eating fabricated products, so fabricated leather conducts to the spread of bio-fabrication.
Furthermore, fabricated leather has same facilities to real leather and bio-fabrication can control property of leather like thickness, design, flexibility, breathability and durability.
New facilities of making products should be the contrast to current facilities that is isolated and guarded. This means that it should be clean, open and educational.
In conclusion, bio-fabrication is environmental, efficient and humane. Moreover we have to move to more civilized and evolved era.

I think that this new technology makes environment better like he said because of no killing animal life. However we’ll have two problems, “stock breeder” and “rumor”.
The first problem is “stock breeder”. People all over the world need a lot of animal products like meat and leather. This means that there are many demands of animal products. To respond these demands, many stock breeders keep on supplying. However if bio-fabrication spreads as basic way to make animal products, stock breeders will lose their jobs certainly. I think that animals will not be killed by bio-fabrication, but stock breeders will be killed by bio-fabrication.
The second problem is “harmful rumor”. I think that it is difficult for people to believe that fabricated meat is safe like he said. Besides, if the safety is guaranteed, they can’t believe it. For example, in Japan, some people can’t believe the safety of the vegetables that were made in Miyagi, Ibaraki, and Fukushima. Because they are worried about effects of radio activity in spite of safe vegetables. It is the damage caused by harmful rumors. I think that fabricated meat will cause the problem like this.
If these problems are solved, we can live more environmental with animals.
