A new organ donation system in Whale

In Whale, they started a new organ donation system. They make a law about organ donation. It means adults will be regarded as having consented to organ donation unless they have opted out. And now, about 34% of the population mentioned that they opt in to the new system. On the other hand, there are 86,000 people – 3% of the population-have opted out.

Health Minister Mark Drakeford praised to this system and called it a “ground-breaking step which will save lives”. The rest of the UK like Scotland and northern Ireland didn’t opt in this system.

In my opinion, I don’t like the opt out system in Whale. It will be more useful than the opt in system, but at the same time it will make people difficult to choose and hurt the human individual freedom. People will feel pressure to opt out to the system.

If people worried about the opt in system because it cannot get enough donors, they can work on the promotion of the opt in system. Organs are belong to people themselves. Why law can decide how to use our organs?
