The migrant boat deflated or exploded in the Mediterranean and a lot of the migrants have died in there. In the boat, there were 137 passengers aboard. Some of them could survive, but many of them have drowned. Those survived have been helped by a Maltese merchant ship. According to the person who managed to survive, the Maltese ship threw down the ropes for them. Some of the migrants could hold them. On the other hand, all the others started pushing to survive but they couldn’t. It’s said that crossing the Mediterranean is highly dangerous. However, the number of people who cross there for migration is increasing. So far this year, at least about 2000 people have died in the Mediterranean.

My impressions of the Mediterranean are delicious food and beautiful scenery. So, when I read this news, I was really surprised the Mediterranean is dangerous for crossing. If I were the migrant, I wouldn’t take a perilous way to immigrate like people who appeared on the article because I don’t want to die. Also, in the Mediterranean, too many people have died that means there is famous as the dangerous route. Furthermore, I can’t swim, so when ship drowns, I will be the first person who will die. For these reasons, I don’t choose that route absolutely. Though, according to this article, the number of people who cross the Mediterranean is increasing. I can’t understand why so many people take that route to immigrate. Perhaps, they are poor and that way is the most economical. Even so, I think no one can buy life by money and lives should be the most priority matter.
