I read the news about Football case.
Following is the summary and my opinion.

Eight football fans were killed ahead of a semi-final match at the Corinthians fan club headquarters in Sao Paulo, police and local media reported Sunday.

A Sao Paulo military police said AFP seven people were shot dead at the corinthians’ san headquarters Saturday night.
And another later died in hospital.

According to source, the fan club is not affliated with the official Corinthians football squad.

G1, the news site, wroted at least tow armed men sormed the headquarters and executed seven people.

Brazil football matches have been tainted by violence in the past. It is estimated around 30 people died in football violence in the country in 2013.

When I read the news paper, I think Brazil has very powerful passion of football.

Because, the case was caused the love about football of Brazilian.

I don’t know exactly who are they, what was for.

But, Maybe I guess the suspects are gangster or relating to crime.

Because they have gun. it is so difficult to get gun. But, they have gun and they killed 7 people. I think they are easy to get gun because they are gangster.

Also, Brazil has very powerful passion of football and they have a lot of interest in football everyone. Even, some people the football team are symbol to their town or them. So, maybe this case is caused the love about football and their town.

“Thousands of dead fish wash up at Rio de Janeiro lagoon that will host rowing and canoeing events”

In the last class, we discussed the article that thousands of dead fish had washed up in Brazil.

The summary and my opinion are as follows.

⑴ The summary of the article

Thousands of dead fish have washed up in a lagoon in Rio de Janeiro that will host rowing and canoeing events at Olympics Games.

The organisers worry about the health of participants in the Olympics Games.

The cause of these dead fish was not known whether an environmental problem or an overfishig.

These dead fish bother local residents because the smell is very strong and a lot of fish slow the boat.

⑵ My opinion

I think that people should consider about environment.

Although operating benefit is important, people must not distruct the ecosystem.

So I think two proposal to prevent environmental distruction.

First, the government should make a law to stop overfishig. For example, restriction of haul.

Second, people should have a kindness for environment. I think that call to protect environment will bear fruit.

In conclusion, people in Brazil should consider about environmental problems seriously. And the dead fish will disappear.

Treasure Trove Found In The Deep Waters Of Bolivia’s Lake Titicaca

In the last class, I read the article about the great discovery of archaeological material.

This article said that a team of Belgian and Bolivian archaeologists found more than 2000 pieces of ceramic, jewels and gold products under the waters of Lake Titicaca which had been sacred for the Inca and Tiwanaku cultures. The most impressive of them were well-preserved puma heads made of stone, and other anthropomorphic statues were made of gold leaf. They were allegedly made about 1000 years ago.

Christophe Delaere, a project leader, made this discovery known to the public when he appeared on TV. After that, an archaeologist and a specialist in Andean anthropology evaluated this amazing discovery. Archaeological discoveries had been made many times around the world but it was needless to say that this discovery was so important for us.

I think that excavational investigations are essential to know what happened in the past. In my own case, I can see the face of my dead grandmother only in some photos of hers. And also I can know her taste only from possessions left behind by her.

The excavation sites are the places where modern-day people encounter the history. Some people may insist that they don’t agree with excavational investigations because they believe that researching ancient ruins and excavated things make the God angry. In my opinion, however, it is not much of a problem. If the God really felt displeasure at being interfered with, he must have hidden or destroyed them without leaving any trace.

The evidence that our ancestors had their life gives us a clue to create the future. Archaeology can be called futuristics.

Eight football fans were gunned down ahead of a semi-final match at the Corinthians fan club headquarters in Sao Paulo.

The shooting was confirmed by a Corinthians club official to AFP. The source noted the fan club is not affiliated with the official Corinthians football squad. And the team tweeted “Mourning” at ahead of semi-final game.

Brazil football matches have been tainted by violence in the past. Police shot and killed a teenager when clashes erupted between rival football hooligans near Porto Alegre in the south of Brazil. It is estimated around 30 people died in football violence in the country in 2013.

2) Opinion

I think Brazilian football fans have passion for football.

Passion is very good. But violence is not good and it is not support for football.It is not defile the football by violence.

So we have to think how to stop violence from Brazilian football. I make the two proposals for violence stop.

First, to make a call for violence stop. For example, to make many posters and emphasize “Mourning” voice. Football fan loves football. So I think if team say “Mourning”, they stop violence.

Second, the official Corinthians football squad affiliated with the fan club. I think if official squad take care to fan, they do not violence each other.

In conclusion, Brazilian football fan have to stop violence. Therefore official football squad and region cooperation are necessary.

China anger at Japan-Taiwan disputed island fishing deal

The last class we read an article about an agreement between Japan and Taiwan and talk about it. This is the story of the article and my opinion for it.

Japan and Taiwan have signed a deal that allows Taiwan to fish within 12miles of the island that is known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China. The island is controlled by Japan, but China and Taiwan claim the sovereignty over the island. This area has rich fishing resources and thought to have oil deposits.

Japanese government says that these negotiations are about the protection of fishing sources in the area and there are no issues of territorial dispute.Many analysts think that Japan tried to prevent China and Taiwan from cooperating with each other over territorial dispute.

I think this deal is effective to improve Japan-Taiwan relationship. Troubles over fishing resources in this area have been diplomatic problems between Japan and Taiwan for a long time. This agreement will reduce troubles and make Japan-Taiwan relationship better.

The deal is also effective to prevent China from unreasonably interfering in affairs of East Asia. China often claims the rights in the area unreasonably. This attitude is harmful to peace-keeping in East Asia. This time China tried to cooperate with Taiwan to claim sovereignty over Senkaku. Making Japan-Taiwan relationship better is effective to control balances of East Asia.

Burmas riots

Three Muslim gold shop workers jailed for their role in communal violence in Burma. There has been religious conflict between buddhist and Muslims in this country, and this unrest has been taking a heavy toll of lives and making many people forced from their home. The row three Muslims involved and its news made Buddhists to destroy Muslim neighborhoods in Meiktila and three other town.
Last month Burmese government warned that it use forced stop fomenting hatred between faiths and severely punishes perpetrators.

I want all the conflicts that are caused by religion to be solved.
If we understand each other’s religion, it will be easier to live together.
However, I can say this only because I don’t know the reality of it. It is not such an easy matter.
Having checked the internet , it’s not only a religious conflict, but a ethnic conflict between native Burmese who have been believing Buddhism since ancient time and muslims who immigrated from India when Burma was ruled by G.B. Indian are good at business, so Burmese are poorer than them.
Their hatred used to be controlled by the military government, but now government should solved it peacefully under democracy.
Government have to give a hand both race to be reconciled in term of history or work out a policy reducing poverty and inequality between them.

This sentence it is written about the religious conflict in Myanmar. There are Muslims and Buddhists in Myanmar. I live in Japan. Therefore, I did not know that the country is caught up in religious strife. Muslims were kicked out of home by conflict.Many people lost their lives by conflict. Freedom of religion should be recognized. It was a fight that occurred in one of the town, but it also extends to other town. Is it not possible to respect the religion of each other.
Because the majority is Buddhist, Muslim shoulders are narrow. It’s persecution rather than say religion conflict. It is not recognized as a national as fact. It has been much dispute for a long time. Myanmar, as well as neighboring countries also a unstable. Myanmar government does not know the ultimate solution.Myanmar has progressed to democratization. But, there are a lot of problems such as religious strife. Myanmar government should find a fundamental solution. We are waiting for the new measures. And I pray the unity to meet the international community.

The Collision of religions in Burma.

I read the news about religious conflict.

I wrote the summary and my opinion about the news.

Three Muslims who are the owner of a gold shop, his wife and employee collided with Buddhist customer at the gold shop.

According to the report, the owner beat a Buddhist customer on the head. Besides, Buddhist monk was attacked and died.

Then, the news of this collision spread in Burma and it happened big communal violent clashes between Muslim and Buddhist communities in Meiktila and three other towns.

Unfortunately, this collision have forced 12000 Muslims to displace from their home and their neighborhoods have been demolished.

According to state prosecutors, religious extremists cause many cases against a lot of people like Buddhist and Muslims.

Last month, Burmese president Thein Sein advised that if it is necessary, the government would use force to stop “political opportunists and religious extremists” and all people who committed violence would be prosecuted to the extent of the law.

Last year, nearly 200 people died and many people were forced to get out their home by violence in Rakhine. It is the worst conflict.

In recent month, Rohingyas have run away from persecution in Burma because they are not recognized as Burmese.

I think that the clash like this between Muslims and Buddhist will never happen in Japan. Because Japanese are not sensitive about religious.

However, in the world, religion make life, culture, community and so on. It means that religion is an important thing for them. It is far different from Japan, so Japanese is difficult to understand religious conflict but I think we have to understand and think about it.

Finally, to understand religious, Japanese should be interested in own religions. It is the best first step to understand what religion is.

The other day, we discussed the report of religious conflict. In Burma, Muslim gold shop workers used communal violence and killed more than 40 people including Burma’s Buddhists. Therefore they were arrested. However, things have grown more serious. This incident triggered religious clashes between Burma’s Muslim and Buddhist communities. More than 12000 Muslims have been expelled from their homes and their whole areas have been destroyed. Moreover, Burmese president Thein Sein stated that the government would use force in order to prevent religious conflicts from getting worse. These are what the report said.

While I was reading this news, I couldn’t feel that this was close to me. Japanese people believe many kinds of religions and are tolerant toward them. Therefore there are no conflict in Japan. On the other hand, a lot of countries are troubled with religious problems. This is because various religions have long histories with bloody war and every believer has firm faith, I think. From these reasons, I suppose that it is difficult to stop these clashes. However, it must be possible to let various religions compromise little by little. In order to achieve this aim, Japan should spread all over the world its tolerant view of religions and be the center of active exchanges of many denominations. By Japanese roles like this, I expect that many people will gradually start to consider other religions.

We discussed about the conflict between Muslims and Buddhists in Burma. The article says that the owner of gold shop, his wife, and an employee were convicted of theft and violence, and it triggered deadly clashes between Burma’s Muslim and Buddhist communities. The government of Burma said was caused by political opportunists and religious extremists. The Burmes president warned that they would use force if they do not stop it.

From this article, I think this is not only a religious problem, and conflicts are may be triggered by different reason. For example, conflict of United kingdom. In 15 century, There were conflicts between Catholic and Protestant people. The reason of the violence was not only difference of religion, but also originated in rivalry between the two races. The discrimination in policy, such as heavy tax and restrict the election for one side people was another big factor . In my opinion, Burma also had other causes to led the conflicts. The government should more carefully focus on the causes and the background behind the problem, and make solution which can be help two sides. Only using a force cannot solve the conflicts completely.
