Advertising Standards Authority upheld complaint from UK Elle magazine reader. The ad is the latest in a long line of controversies surrounding the fashion industry’s use of thin models, among them the death from anorexia of French model Isabelle Caro following a shocking ad campaign and bans on ultra-skinny models in Israel and France. Both Elle UK magazine and Yves Saint Laurent declined to comment on the ban.

Opinion
After reading, we discussed unhealthy models.I think people who read the magazine want to be like her,and they are under the impression that they are fat.Actually they aren’t fat. So,they are called “irresponsible”.Therefore,I think unhealthy models had better not strike unhealthy poses.
